Eating at the Airport - What Do You Have?
Ask a Question
I ritualistically have to have a meal before I board a plane, even though I know the prices at the airport are incredibly inflated, but I like a hot meal
Though it may be cheaper, there’s no way I’d buy snacks at the airport, because the prices are more ridiculous - so much for tax free!
what do you do when you’re waiting around at the airport?
I have to admit since they opened pret and eat, eating at airports isn’t as extortionate, although I hate paying over the odds for sandwiches
I'd normally just buy a coffee, unless there has been a delay or I have a long wait for a connecting flight.
I guess the price of a coffee is ok - it’s about £2.50-£3.50. The price of tea is silly though - £2.75 for hot water and a bag! Not my cup of tea!
Always head straight to the overpriced weatherspoons either a full English or a burger for me!
Lol sounds like my kind of meal. I guess if you’re going somewhere where they don’t serve the full English, it’s worth it
Usually a coffee going out, then whatever I can use up my foreign coins up on on the way back.
My mother hates spending money on food out since i was a kid wherever we went out we took picnics or we stopped in a supermarket and bought a pack of rolls, ham or chicken whatever and then she made a picnic If we are at the airport with her then we take corned beef and tomato sauce sandwiches, chicken mayo rolls, crisps, drinks etc, if she is not with us then we have Burger King
Lol she definitely sounds like she’s savvy with her money....so definitely only have those treats when she’s not looking
Usually just grab a snack and a drink whilst we are waiting , We always have a meal on the plane if it's available, on budget airlines we buy a meal deal
I don't usually buy any food when waiting for the plane. I usually eat before I go and take some snacks just in case. If I do buy anything then its usually just a drink.
Nothing, if I know am going to missed breakfast or lunch.
I would make sandwich or get is at supermarket.
Or gets some fruits.
Or just a quick snack... With a drink.
Usually I have eaten at home or not hungry, so I go with a water bottle only...
Just to keep to a budget & spend money on my holiday...
There is only one airport I want to eat at and that is Geneva. The restaurant there is great and the quality you get and in other places around the world shows the British airports I have been at are no where near on par. I usually bring my own food on the journey out and eat at the airport on the way back to get my last taste of foreign lands.
