Have You Ever Lost Luggage on Holiday?

I have been fortunate and never lost any luggage but when I travel with my husband we mix up the clothes in each case so if one went missing we would have something to wear.

No thank god, but I know people who have, like someone else has said, we mix them up just in case

Not me personally but friends of mine have. Initially it seems like it would have been great because the airline paid for all new clothes but who wants to spend their holiday clothes shopping

If you do include valuables, make sure to use a lock that can't be easily broken and a GPS tracking device in the event it becomes lost somehow.

We’ve not lost luggage but had a leather suit carrier badly damaged. Fortunately all the contents were in there.

No but I would recommend using AirTags or similar as you can then track your luggage and I’ve heard of instances where the airline couldn’t locate the luggage but the person could see where their luggage was and this helped the airline find it and get it back.

I went on holiday with my 2 sons once and 1 of their friends was coming too. He was stopped going because his passport photo was peeling off. We arrived at the Spanish airport, went to collect our luggage. Only to find they had taken my youngest sons luggage off instead of the friend who was stopped, and we had to wait a few days on it being flown back again. So I had to go to the shops for clothes in the meantime.
