Have You Ever Written an Open Letter to someone well known?

When the Ukrainian war began I wrote an open letter to Putin. I knew, of course, that he would never read it, but it did give me a certain amount of satisfaction and it is floating around the ether somewhere!
I think someone could do very well if they started a publication or website so people could have their feelings set down for all to read, get it off your chest sort of thing but moderated to stop trolling.

I have been tempted a good many times but have resisted thus far.I have written a few hot political letters to local mps.My friend has written numerous open letters.He excels at it!
MelissaLee1 that's interesting, what does he do with them, do they get published anywhere? I would love to write loads more but seems pointless if no one gets to read them. My targets would be: teens with attitude, Tik Tok idiots, Donald Trump, people traffickers, gosh I could go on and on!
Lynibis I fear once started it would become a regular rant and vent and so I keep it in for the greater good. My friend has some replies framed on his wall and others stored in files. He is rather good at satire but also uses a little too much invective at times. He sometimes panics a little after sending them out for fear of reprisal or prosecution lol.
MelissaLee1 oh dear. My letter to Putin was gentle in comparison appealing to his better nature, which of course doesn't exist.
