What is your favourite dessert to make or buy when you're watching the pennies? Mine has to be Angel delight, brings back lovely comforting childhood memories. How about you?
Does £1.50 qualify as cheap? I like the M&S Triple Chocolate Sundae - https://www.marksandspencerfoodhall.co.uk/product/triple-chocolate-sundae--45775898-13ea-47de-a858-dd17471a6e3c
Pancakes made at home which I enjoy any time of the year, so scrummy, especially when crispy round the edges. My favourite topping is the traditional sugar and lemon but only have every few months since trying to stop using sugar.
I like home made rice pudding, milk sugar and a small quantity of pudding rice .......very economical very comforting
A good old fashioned home made sponge cake or banana bread if I get yellow sticker bananas!
I still like Angel Delight, has to be butterscotch flavour. Haven't had one this year but I’ll try to remember to buy a packet. I know it has lots of sugar but convince myself that I’m getting extra calcium from the milk.
Tesco do a great range of cheesecakes. The strawberry swirl (recently rebranded as Ms Molly's) is my favourite: https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/299475285 at 65p it's a bargain!
