Hi all, I use quite a few apps where you scan receipts, do surveys and get cashback etc. Just wondering which ones are best value to get into?
I like Zipzero for receipt scanning. You get 1% back so it builds up quickly and you pay the money directly off your bills.
Didn't know about this one so just searched. How does the payment work? Description says it goes directly to bills, so how is that setup? Is there an option for PayPal/Amazon gift gift card or anything like that instead?
MeestairChrees they only pay out to your bills. You fill in the payment details for bills you want to pay. They're pretty helpful with finding the info for the payments if you email them. I get money paid off my EE mobile bill, but any utilities or council tax bills will do.
MeestairChrees no it has to be directly to bills. You will need the sort code and account number xx
JenniferDunning ClaireF1978 how does it work exactly? How do they know who to pay and who does the company receiving it know it's from you?
MeestairChrees you enter a customer reference number as well, same as you would if you were paying the bill by BACS.
ClaireF1978 thanks. Don't remember paying anything like this through BACS - use direct debit for everything.
For nearly all purchases - PayPal MasterCard (0.5% cashback)
Websites? TCB and Quidco, but these days I use them very rarely.
I may have asked this before, but why use them rarely? Do you not shop at many places they offer cashback for?
The retailers I use aren't on there. Like, Tool Station is on TCB, but no cashback available.
Plus, purchases on eBay never seem to track on TCB while others do. I sorta gave up with eBay through TCB, think Quidco is the same. Maybe there's something wrong with my eBay account, who knows. MeestairChrees
Rockman thought that's what it might be. Heard so many others not using it because stuff doesn't track. Mine normally does, but certainly annoying when it doesn't.
I sometimes forget to go on cashback sites, its such a hassle as when youve remembered,to go off site youre on,then onto cashback site, then find where you were shopping in first place etc,or if you click a link from email,to go back off again just start again.and yes sometimes the one you want dont offer cashback.
For scanning receipts I use SnapMyEats which you get £5 amazon voucher a month for uploading 15 receipts. I also have Shoppix which is abit slower, you get 30 points per receipt uploaded on the same day of purchase or 25 points if uploaded after, you can exchange points for £5 voucher at 3100 points and you get ad hoc surveys for point and scratch cards which you sometimes win points.
Its same with nectarcard,i did a couple of expensive purchases before xmas, but because it would have neen a lot of points, apparently it 'never tracked them'
I use Shoppix and receipt hog. Thanks to this post I have just downloads the SnapMyEats app seems such a good one to pay out
I also use shoppix and reciept hog but I think I might drop reciept hog as it takes ages to build up the points and it's hardly worth the effort.
I use the following apps:
receipt hog
shoppix
shop prize
Huyu
Snapmyeata
Zipzero
Click and snap by quidco
SalmaS thanks...going to have a look at these ones...if I'm going to make my receipts work for me...I'm better getting the most out of it.
I did have Swagbucks and removed it ...I was not impressed.
Shoppix and receipt hog are good. I have memory problems....so if I want to see where all my millions has gone ...I just go look at my duplicate cache of receipts.
Snapmyeats and huyu are probably the best ones I use, also use recipthog, shoppix and zipzero but only just started using zipzero and haven't properly got into that yet
