How Do You Feel about Apple Phones
Other
Do you like apple phones or not and do you think it’s all a marketing scheme
My daughter has apple phones but I think it's to much money for a phone I have had huawei for years but they have rocketed in price nows days I did want to get my daughter a iPhone 8 for all the help she gave me but seeing the prices I just couldn't afford it
They are excellent phones ,but I agree, they are becoming very expensive. Could you maybe get her a second hand or refurbished one? Lots of people are upgrading at this time of year.
gerrykelly25 even the 2nd hand ones in the shops are silly prices as I don't want to get one off gumtree or Facebook cos you never know with them
JaneWest completely agree they are ridiculous priced now and parents just can not afford them however media is putting pressure on kids to have the latest iPhone.... sad really I think there are loads of other more affordable phone out there there is one on amazon that looks like the new apple iPhone but is android and is 80 pounds its great!!
I use iPhone myself and I loved them but I couldn’t never afford the latest model as the prices are just hideous Although there customer service is fantastic!
I like the fact that iPhone's do not have third-party apps on their app store which can have malware.
Beautiful phones but I have no desire to buy one. Very happy with budget android phones. There are many other products I'd rather spend my money on than a premium phone with marginal improvements over phones that cost maybe a tenth as much. I pretty much feel that way about most Apple products in fact some products I don't actually like for example their headphones which only have ok sound quality yet are ridiculously expensive.
I still absolutely adore the old b/w Macintosh's for retro charm though. Used to love my Classic II but nowadays I'm not really into their products purely because of the poor value of their products to be honest.
They are no better than many many many many android smartphones. I don't get all the hype.
Neither I think they are just overpriced and not worth the money there are amazing Samsung’s and androids thst are better!!
I said for along time I would never get one ...then did and have used them for a few years now. My friend &brother get them every time a new one comes out. I like them but not that much! Like others have said the prices are silly now so I'm usually a good few models behind other people.
I love my iphone. Their just so easy to use. I had the iphone 4 first and then changed to a samsung which i loved but then i went back to apple i would never pay the full upfront cost for one though especially when your talking nearly a grand. Ive got an iphone 8+ on contract with tesco, my wifes got a 7+ and my sons got a normal 7. I pay £103 a month for all 3.
You do really get sucked in by apple. I denied myself from having a smartphone for ages, and then the first one I acquired was a hand me down iPhone 4...and it’s all a blur now 3 iPhones later! Also, when I started a new job and had to learn to use a Mac in the office, I really hated using a pc at home. As my cousin said ‘once you go Mac, you never go back!’
I like them I have one. but I think they are way over priced and would never buy the most up to date one. I will keep mine for years years till it gives up life before I will buy a new one. it’s like most things though you pay for the name on it
I really love My iPhone. I find it easier than a Samsung or any other phone I’ve had. I admit Apple are expensive but I just feel comfortable using it And pay monthly on a great plan
Hated the iPhone I was given by my uncle as a hand me down. Would never go back to using one. Prefer the one I have at the moment
I like having liberty of messing around with the device and with an Apple iPhone/iPad I can't do that. Even something as simple as transferring music is a chore because it needs iTunes and that program takes too much space and is quite unnecessary.
For me, Android all the way. It's based on Linux.
Expensive, overrated and my customisable enough. I'd never get one. You can get decent Android phones for a lot less!
I bought a second hand Iphone4 a few years ago to see what the fuss was about and it is impressive - very heavy and good design it does feel like a quality product but as a Techie they are just too simple and not configurable for us techgeeks!
They are designed to cater for the basic public - ie those who just want it to work - Android is full of problems and bugs etc
The only one that comes close and my favourite are the Microsoft Nokia Lumias - bulletproof, work amazingly well and far better than any Apple phone!
Shame they were let down by the Microsoft store with no enough apps!
I still use mine as my main phone even though i have a new Android with all the latest gizmos bokeh 6 inch etc
Have dropped my wee Nokia loads of times and its never missed a beat and the screen doesnt even have a scratch!
Expensive and even worse when you need them repaired - Just google Louis Rossman and he will tell you all you need to know - he repairs em and would never have an Apple product!
Misbehaving? Only if it's a really old model, and even then it still works as long as it's just used for simple tasks.
I never understood why people change iPhone models yearly. I guess it's like FIFA, Madden and NFL.. just gotta have the newest version even if it's almost the same.
I keep them until there is a serious issue. My last phone was an iPhone 5 and it developed an issue with the phone speaker which caused distortion and signal breakup. I wasn't able to understand what people were saying during a telephone conversation.
Never had any luck with Iphones constantly on charge when fully charged the phones battery would be dead in less than half an hour even when id not even used it. I'm now using Samsung phone instead the battery life is brilliant.
I’ve always had iphones, mainly because of their customer service. If you have any issue with your phone, within a year you can take it to an Apple store and get it fixed or replaced, I dont know how you would do that with a Samsung because theres no samsung stores
I have one and hate it my husband is going to get me a new phone for Xmas and I have told him I do not want a iPhone i don’t like them I told him if he does he will be taking it back I think they are way over priced and don’t do as much as a android I will never buy an other iPhone
