Feel Good Stories on the News

In the News

Would you like to see more Feel Good Stories on the news programmes you watch? Alternatively, do you think they have no place on a news channel and should not be included? This particular one was about a baby moose being rescued by police officers after falling through the ice into the water. I am all for it as it breaks up the bad news we receive on a daily basis. www.itv.com/news/2024-06-20/baby-moose-rescued-after-being-trapped-in-alaska-lake

Whether it's good or bad, news is news and should be included. Not so bothered about cute stories which are better doing the rounds on social media, but definitely medical breakthroughs, lost people being found, heroic actions, new inventions to improve our lives etc.

Lynibis Agreed.

Not quite "feel good," but karma does seem to exist.

Half-truths GB News posted this video about a British guy missing in Spain:

They made him seem like such a nice innocent boy...

Here's the kicker: He's no angel, far from it, actually:

I have no sympathy for criminals especially ones who cut people's heads. Those who say that was a "mistake" don't know what a mistake is.

Losing your wallet is a mistake. Using a machete to open someone's head isn't a mistake.

PhilipMarc omg that is disgusting. People say babies aren't born evil and to some extent that is true but our pastor used to say 'you don't have to teach a child to be naughty but you do have to teach it to be good'.

From an early age they start defying, ignoring and pushing boundaries and unless you check them they easily turn out like those thugs. This guy's mum looks more like his grandmother and I have not seen any mention of a father. I don't want to disparage her mothering skills but she obviously didn't do a good job.

PhilipMarc that is very interesting, especially how lenient the sentences were considering their crime. Attacking someone so badly should not be a community service.

I think a light hearted good news could break up the atmosphere. I’m often in tears watching all the dreadful atrocities going on.
