I used to suffer from this condition many years ago, fortunately i don't anymore
If i ate a banana or drank coffee , mixing the two , i would guarantee an acid burning sensation in my chest
Not just this , but a lot of things would bring on the burning pain
I would always have a bottle of gaviscon or antacid tablets on my bedside table
If they had had this device years ago i would have been first in the queue

If this is true, would be amazing. I had no idea I had this until a few years back ,suffered badly. They did an Endoscopy which clarified it.. apparently runs in my family. Fingers crossed 
this works.
LL81 I had that L, i don't know if it has changed for the better since i had it years ago but it was the worse experience i ever had , a thick black flexible camera was shoved down my throat and i started to gag , i just managed to endure it until it was removed
I think i can understand how a sword swallower must feel 
I had a friend who had terrible trouble with acid reflux to the point he had to go to hospital for loads of tests. It sounds like a minor thing but he was in discomfort everyday
My partner suffered really bad with Acid Reflux years ago, he had the operation, a bit like a Gastric Band & could only eat child's potion of meals ..
Partner was sick whenever he ate sweet things, he is a lot better these days..
