A Fix for Commenting on Android

Hi all

We’ve put an update live that introduces a new “Simple” text editor as a temporary workaround to fix the problems some people have been having with posting on Android.

• We’ve added in a new “Simple” text editor to try and alleviate the bugs with Android
• By default, everyone will have the “Default” text editor set in their settings (https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/settings)
• The default is the Simple editor on Android and the “Advanced” editor on any non-Android device.
• You can override this to always have the Simple editor or always have the Advanced editor in your settings if you prefer.

The simple editor has some limitations

• You can’t bold/italic/underline text
• You won’t get popup mention suggestions (i.e. typing @ won’t cause a popup list to appear with suggestions).

You can however still:

• Upload images
• Mention people by hand - e.g. typing @ Kelsey (without the space) will convert into a mention when you submit/save.
• Use Emojis - just use your regular Emoji keyboard on your mobile
