Flight Had to Make U-Turn as Maggots Fall on Passengers from Bag of Rotting Fish

In the News

It wasn't exactly raining cats on this flight from Amsterdam to Detroit , but maggots , when they discovered something 'fishy' was going on above

Someone had stashed some rotten fish in an overhead compartment and the maggots were dropping like flies, to coin a phrase

The problem was they weren't on the flights' menu , not what you want with your panini and coffee

After a bit of 'squirming' , the passengers were offered air miles, hotel accommodation and food vouchers to compensate for the plane having to return to schipol airport to be cleaned

The passenger who caused this unacceptable problem should be named, shamed and given a ban for life and the cost of cleaning the airline. I would like to be a passenger on this flight for the freebies given.

MelissaLee1 I think maggots get a bad deal in life M

The life of a maggot is only six to eight days and thats if they survive the hook on the end of a fishing line 😬
