Flightradar 24 App

Does anyone else have this app? We only downloaded it recently so still learning. It’s interesting seeing all the different types of aircraft all over the world.

My question is this: we’ve seen quite emergency radio failures , is that normal in aircraft? Seems to happens several times a day with various aircraft. Do they land safely? What in earth is happening up there??
