Fridge-Carrying London Marathon Runner Stopped and Questioned by Police

We all know the saying everything but the kitchen sink , well it wasn't the sink this charity raiser had strapped to his back but a fridge

I am sure he could have found and easier way to keep his on the go beers cool LOL

He was even stopped by the police who thought he had nicked it, but bish bash 'bosch' they let him go when he explained it was a charity marathon , thinking it was 'cool'

It said 'He aims to beat the time of four hours and 52 minutes for running a marathon with an appliance' surely a kettle or toaster would be lighter?!

Strange thing to do, it's normally a weighted back pack for training purposes. The police were right to stop him as it was clearly suspicious to be carrying a fridge around especially at night .

Mango4 I think even stranger is naming the fridge Tallulah M , but it is associated with the bob sleigh film 'Cool Runnings' , both run cool

Mango4 i suppose when it’s for charity you need to do something a bit different to get people motivated to donate.

I agree, good job by the police. This is what they should be doing, common sense checks and then nice interactions when it turns out to be nothing criminal

jms19 Thats true J, but i think thieves normally steal household goods in vans or trucks, they must have realised its not normal to steal one strapped to your back, but at least they double checked

telmel The policeman who stopped him was over the top in stopping an obliviously charity runner. I would have been offended by the policeman and make an official complain about his behaviour.
