GB News Not Doing Too Well

Other

They've suspended/fired four of their hosts now (inc. Mark Steyn) and possibly more (Neil Oliver if he uses the "wrong" words).

GBN tried to be in favor of free speech and it backfired.

I have never watched GB News. It doesn't sound like a normal new channel to me. The presenters are always in the news themselves for the wrong reason.

I know of it but don't watch. This channel seems to be a magnet for those who wish to rant and be rude about others without restraint. I am all for free speech but people do need to self moderate their words.

It's hardly surprising since they give a platform to some of the more extreme people in politics. Never watched it myself but obviously saw the Lawrence Fox situation. Why would they invite him on knowing what he's like, unless that's the kind of people they are trying to appeal to.

I really liked Calvin Robinsons on GB news, what a shame they let him go 😞

Pretty confident its a trash idea and hope it folds as its the kind of decisive rubbish the US is enduring with Fox News etc

I don't watch it. I hate the presenters. They employ the nasty ones who like to stur it up

My mother is very left wing but watches it all the time. I don't have a tv license so can't watch it, I know I could watch it on the sly so to speak but I don't. I don't watch any live broadcasts at home but do make use of streaming services.

I think GB News is still relatively new and so building up viewers which can be a slow process. I guess investors are getting a bit worried and want costs controlled more. Ultimately they need to find the sweet spot between revenue and cost of operation and work out which content brings in the most viewers.
