Are Ghosts Real?
Ask a Question
Do you believe in ghosts?
Former Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries has revealed her belief in ghosts after her time working as a nurse on hospital wards.
What do you think?
I’m 99.9% sure they don’t exist but I can’t completely rule it out. I’d be interested in going ghost hunting to see what happens as i’m pretty sceptical
Leannexxx Even if you think God doesn't exist you have to admit all of this didn't just grow out of nothing. Or the humans, someone made them... And the animals, and weather, etc.
PhilipMarc yes my parents made me that's all I need to know fact is it's all based on a book
It's one of those unknown quantities, so many claim to have seen them and an old school friend is doing rather nicely with his own website on the paranormal. Personally I am on the fence with this one.
The mind can easily create false visions. As far as I know there has never been a account of a large group of people all seeing a ghost at the same time with no other logical explanation. I do know that we don't know everything though and perhaps in the future there will be some explanation for it that we don't understand at the present time but I really have my doubts though. However if this is a virtual existence where the physical world is simulated then I guess ghosts could be some flaw in the program that is extremely rare.
I personally don't beleive in ghosts and nothing has given me any reason to, open to persuasion though.
I believe in ghosts. There's alot of things we don't fully understand. I've had a few strange experiences that I know no one can explain to me so I'm very open-minded.
Yes I believe in ghosts we bought a very old cottage in bradwell on sea in Essex from the very 1st night of living there things went on banging the front room getting very cold to both of us waking up and seeing a old guy standing at the end of bed even our 3 daughters saw him and lots of other weird stuff going on like kitchen drawers coming open by them self bits getting moved lights being turned on and off we asked around the village it turned out the old guy was a farmer who use to live here and sadly he shoot himself in the head the name of our cottage is hunters rest we got friends to stay they also witness it my partner would not stay there by herself and the girls when I was working night shift at a hospital in London as a nurse it was affecting us all with lack of sleep. Ect in the end my partner got a farther from a local catholic church to come and help in the end it all stoped after that last year we was doing some decorating and DIY and when we lifted the floor boards in the front room we found a few guns with alive bullets we had to get the police to take them away we tried selling it to move but no one bought it so we still here years on and now days it's nice and quiet and my partner and daughters are happy staying here when I am on nights
jdible it would have been the changes to the home they didn't like does sound like was old owners keeping eye on the place
Seeing in believing in my book. This goes for ghosts, god and anything else a bit unusual or different. So until I see a ghost, I do not believe.
I don't believe in them, probably because I have never seen one, just like aliens, I will be a believer if I ever see one, until then I'm not a believer
martinlufc5637 I'm sure aliens are out there somewhere. It seems extremely unlikely we are the only technological lifeform in the universe so I totally believe in aliens even if I know we may never encounter them due to the incredible distances between star systems.
I think I believe in ghosts, certainly open minded enough to acknowledge they may exist. I do believe however there are lots of incorrectly identified ghost behaviour and or mis sightings etc or just outright a load of rubbish so it's difficult to prove one way or another. I have had a number of unexplained or unexplainable things happen of which could have been ghost activities.
I don't but I would not show disrespect to anyone that does ,as you never know they may be right and I may be wrong.
After hearing the disembodied voice of a loved one previously, I’ve since visited Shepton Mallet Prison in Somerset on 2 paranormal nights. There were so many things that were unexplainable. I definitely believe in the spirit world rather than the term ghosts. My husband and daughter were sceptics until they came in our second visit!
I believe in ghosts. I belive there is a lot more to this universe than we know about. How we are all made of energy and energy cant be destroyed it just changes form, that blows my mind.
If I see one then I will believe but until that time I’m open to the possibility. Friends at their old farmhouse say there’s an old lady they see and radio stations get changed which my friend believes his her son communicating to say he’s there
It’s the mind playing tricks. You could see Elvis in your front room with a water infection.
