What is Your Go to Breakfast?

I am always stuck when it comes to ideas for brekkie. Don't want to start the day with carbs (toast) and sugar (jam) nor with a fry up, except occasionally.
So I have been making up my own breakfast mix with a selection of some or all of the following:
Porridge oats, bran flakes, mixed seeds (I get the pack with goji berries), sultanas and/or any other dried fruit, coconut, and for good measure a small amount of those cluster cereals like honey & nut then mix in a large container. I hope that it is helpful for fibre and other nutrients. Would you eat it?
tumblespots I think yours sounds quite healthy. I must admit I do eat sausages but usually for main meal, however I don't like to dwell on what goes in them!
tumblespots see if you can buy them direct from a farmer who’s had their pigs or cows or lambs butchered. A couple of my friends who are farmers do this and they have 100% pork sausages which are awesome and no fat comes out and I have a lamb and apple burger or there’s to eat at lunch - if you know where you food comes from that may help change your view
Gromit22 Thanks for the thought. We do have a local butcher but I still won't them.
Lynibis, yes, I would eat as it sounds lovely. weekdays I have porridge or toast or cereal, but weekends we all have a full English

Lynibis, if you do not want to cook a full English breakfast and you can afford it, treat yourself to one in a cafe
I don't eat breakfast at all at home, cup of coffee that's it , when we are on holiday I will have fry up every other day
martinlufc5637 I have often gone without breakfast and not felt hungry. Like you I just had coffee. However, my 'breakfast' is eaten any time between 10 and noon then my evening meal. I find two meals a day is enough but they are certainly hearty lol.
I do like a full English as a treat when meeting up with friends but at home it’s classic toast or danish pastry although I am going through a cereal phrase when I get bored of that I’ll change back
I always have cereal for breakfast but need to watch out as all are not healthy. My go to is granola followed by Malted Wheats.
I have been in hospital, came home Tuesday evening, so my sister made me overnight oats. They were very good. And today my daughter made me 2 , they keep well in the fridge,.. using up whatever fruit is here.
CarolNettle I have never fancied them, though if someone else lived here I might have if they wanted them.
I don't normally eat until later in the day but if I do have breakfast my go to is Weetabix with room temperature semi skimmed milk and a minimal amount of sugar.
Usually a cereal bar during the week as I'm busy getting son ready in the mornings. At the weekend it varies. Sometimes toast, cereal, bagels, filled roll. Just depend what we have in the house.
Usually if i’m working i’ll have bran flakes or weetabix. If i’m off ill have porridge or some eggs
Lynibis....Daughter & partner love my Scrambled Eggs, I add Cumin, Black Pepper Leek & Cheese, sometimes Ham..

My late Irish Dad used to like his Eggs cracked into an old cup with a knob of Butter, bit of Milk, pinch of Salt & Pepper & cooked on a very low heat on the gas ring, it gave the Scrambled Eggs such a beautiful flavour!
If the gas was turned up the cup cracked & you lost the mixture on the gas ring & had to scrape it off, it happened a few times!
janphoenix51 yours sounds good but maybe not dad's method, I guess today you could do it in a microwave.
I'm not really a breakfast person so a cuppa and kiwi does me until lunch time, now when i'm on holiday a full English has to be had, even better when it's cooked for me.
I have toast for breakfast but not until about 10am , white farmhouse from M&S is my go to. In winter I have weetabix with hot milk.
MelissaLee1 strangely I don't like honey (only as an ingredient in something) but I do love the seeded toast and yes, has to be real butter. It is one thing I just can't give up.
Yes, I would eat this and I have a similar selection every morning.I use chopped up fresh fruits rather than dried ones as I like to try to keep sugar levels down.I pour plain kefir over the mix which always sets me up ready to take on the day's challenges!
I'm a cereal kind of guy; so Weetabix, Shredded Wheat, Muesli & Shreddies are my go to.
Unless I'm on holiday and there is an all inclusive breakfast, in which case all bets are off - I ended up having Baclava for breakfast In Bulgaria last year.
blacklabrador oh my goodness, I have a really sweet tooth and although I like baklava I really wouldn't be able to eat it these days, far too sweet.
It's definitely a dish to be eaten in moderation.
Unfortunately when I spied it at breakfast the glutton in me took over.
I usually have kellogs cornflakes or cheerios ,sometimes go to greggs for a bacon and sausage roll.
I only have it a couple of times a year nowadays we had kippers as well as kids and stinks the house out
Just coffee most days, if I know I'm going to be none stop all day than I'll force toast & a banana down.
I love breakfast it’s probably my favourite meal of the day. I had porridge with oat milk then I added a few raspberries, strawberries, blueberries a teaspoon of chia seeds and cacao nibs. Afterwards I have a bagel with vegan spread and jam.
I'm a standard tea and toast person, unless I'm on holiday of course and I've paid for a breakfast in which case I have the lot,
slightfoot don't blame you lol. I love tea and toast but try to keep my carbs down due to D2.
I have ibs so I eat breakfast even though I am not Hungary (I need to eat regular to keep it under control), I do like a banana in the morning or a wee bit of cereal or occasionally a crumpet or a toasted teacake
