What is Going in Your Christmas Stockings ?
Ask a Question
I was wondering what you guys put in your Christmas stockings ?
I have decided to fill them with their favourite bars of chocolates and sweets ( And little gifts like pens, rubbers etc ...). Rather then the more expensive gifts this year.
Favourite sweet treats (chocolate, sweets etc), tea/coffee (jars of flavoured coffee), mini jams/conserves, mini alcohol bottles (like little bottles of wine), toiletries, pens, bookmark. Depends on the person but tailor to the little things they like and use
I am not surprised. They sound lovely .
I have put more expensive things in ( Aftershaves, Perfumes or favourite make up ), in previous years. I just can't do it this year.
I know it isn't expected so they will all still love it
Sweets, chocolates, small toiletries, scratch cards, deffo got to have a chocolate orange, miniature wine or spirits for adults, kids always get a new toothbrush in theirs, something funny or gadgety
wyal5 We put an envelope by each place setting, containing a scratch card, for everyone to open on Christmas Day but if you were of a crafty and made your own crackers you could put a scratch card inside as the gift!
tumblespots we give scratchcards now instead of normal cards to each other cost just the same and you might win!
Usually some chewing gum, a satsuma, some sweets like fruit pastels, shower gel, body spray etc
I tend to put toiletries in my adult childrens’ stocking, usually slightly more expensive bits from Clinique or l’occitane.
I used to work with someone who used to save all the freebies they used to give on stations for product launches and wrap those up for his other hall's Christmas stocking.
Chocolates sweets little craft items mainly made up of little things I can't be asked to wrap up lol
In addition to sweets, chocolates coins, I wrap up shampoo and conditioner, lip balm, nail varnish, miniature booze etc. Normally this is where the freebies come in
Hot Chocolate box that you can buy from Home Bargains or B&M. In addition to malteser and galaxy hot chocolate there are several toppings that include sprinkles, marshmallows etc. My grandchildren love them.
If it's for the grandchildren I always put something to keep them busy for a few minutes such as a colouring book or jigsaw. Hoping we get a few extra minutes before the bedlam begins
Fruit Jellies .Posh chocs and/or miniture Baileys. A posh pen for a writer friend.Webbox and little tins of duck pate for the cat!
I buy a couple of the miniature sets and divide them up, mix in chocolates and a book or small game like tidlywinks.
I don't do a Christmas stocking. I might do one this year but it will be small stuff like chocolate and sweets, I won't be spending a lot on it.
I found that a Christmas stocking could become expensive, yikes. Always best to stick to little bits and bobs, sweets, satsumas, socks, pants, pens etc and try to keepthe cost down a bit.
I do not do Christmas stockings anymore but used to fill children’s ones with cheap gifts, small toys, stationary and smellies. My husbands would be private personal gifts that could not be opened from under the tree.
I only give stockings to the kids. I've bought a few squishies, some slime and a card game for each of them from Toysforapound, which I use every year for kids stockings. I've also got stickers and will probably put in some chocolate coins and maybe a bath bomb each. I've never really put anything expensive in the stockings x
