Are You Going on Holiday This Year?
Ask a Question
Are you not going on holiday this year due to the rise in the cost of living? Or have you decided to holiday in the UK instead?
I’m planning on going to see my cousin in Canada around September time. Might see if i can find cheap flights to athens at some point as well
Yes, my partner. Student Radiographer daughter & I are off to see family in Portadown Northern Ireland, can't wait to go back, staying at the same place we stayed last time. I have kept in touch with the lovely lady who runs it with her family, she's looking forward to welcoming us back in August..
We are also planning a long weekend to Prague in June, a late 59th birthday present for my birthday which falls in May..
Daughter has a few week before she qualifies as a Radiographer, to celebrate end of her Exams she & a few of her school friends are off to Sweden/ Norway taking in the ABBA Museum...
Yes, I have a couple this year. One to Rome for a few days in August, one to York for our wedding anniversary and one to Berlin in December.
My mum and I try to go back to Germany every year but not been able to since 2019, go and see the places we lived and see how much it’s changed (ex military).
Rome is our first family holiday in 9 years, so a bit special for us.
I hope to get away three times this year.
I spent a few days in Geneva over Easter, I'll probably go somewhere for a week in September, then hopefully Iceland near Christmas to try and finally see the Northern Lights.
Yes, we are going to Turkey in 6 weeks and then again in August, can't wait to feel warm again
Hoping to find a deal for a week as haven’t been abroad in over a decade. It’s all a bit daunting and different now. Thinking of Spain or Majorca or similar.
As I work long hours In nursing yes 100 per cent going on holiday and why we are on holiday we be looking into living in Spain full time.
jdible ....
My partner & I are the same, long hours supporting people with Autism & Learning Disabilities , we need that break to relax & unwind..x
I don't enjoy going on holiday. MrsChimp has had a few days away with her sister in one of them Warner hotels. She enjoyed.
We went go on a trip back down to where we used to live to visit friends. It will only be for a few days and we won't be staying anywhere extravagant.
Yes we are going in May to Kefalonia we can’t wait to go and see all the sites and lovely beaches. Plus with all this awful weather we seem to be having non stop it be nice to have some warm sun on our skin.
We book our holiday a year in advance so as soon as we return from one we book for the following year
Just got back from The Lakes with our furbabies @Ullswater Heights, beautiful lodge & hot tub. We are also going on a med cruise in July treating my cousin & her husband as she has recently been cleared of breast cancer.
I am on holiday now in Portugal for two weeks and a lot hotter than expected. I got a very good last minute deal in a villa plus a good deal on flights and car hire with BA. Also only 14 of us on the plane, an added bonus. Then I am off to Lanzarote end of May for a fortnight in a villa.
Just booked another short break in this country before we go to Lanzarote. I can’t help myself when I see a good deal.
Yes I am going in May to Kefalonia and I can’t wait to see this beautiful island, swim in the waters, see different things in and around the island. More importantly to reset after a very long winter and hopefully come back to nice weather here in the U.K.
I doubt I will ever go abroad again, find it such a hassle so won't be renewing my out of date passport. I don't discount going away in UK but being older and single makes that a bit of a problem too. My friend of 40 years is not a good travelling companion and other lady friends are married. My family would gladly include me but I hate the high heat that they all love, plus I don't want to put a damper on their holiday.
I'm going back to Italy again in July, two weeks after getting married. It will be a belated honeymoon as he has to work for the two weeks just after our wedding. I'm ok with this though as it will give me a chance to recouperate and pack.
