Going on a 'Summer Holiday over Xmas

I would do it, but it’s chaotic to travel during the Xmas period. There was one year I was elsewhere for Xmas and tbh it was great - everything was open, so I spent the day out and about

i don't mind going out so long as my love ones is there.

I'd love to and I think we probably will when the kids have left home - consider the holiday and a nice meal out on the day as our gifts to ourselves and just forget the whole commercial aspect of it.
