I truly despair at what is happening in this world
You get two old age pensioners being terrorised by a gang , damaging their gate and tormenting them to the point where the disabled husband falls over in his yard
What do the police do, they call to see them , not because of the thugs harrassement or damage , but to warn the old lady not to make threats against the gang !!
Why, because she shouted 'I will wring your necks' a phrase the older generation have always used , my mum used it all the time with the local kids when they were up to mischief, nothing like happened here though
Do the police really believe this old lady could do this , it was a cry of despair , not a threat
But PC plod decided she was the guilty party despite the gang reporting and laughing at them
The law is an absolute joke , its about time this political correctness was hit on the head and feral thugs like this received real punishment

My dad would have given me a clip around the ear, marched me around to make an apology and confiscated all my pocket money until I'd paid for a new gate. I'd be grounded for a fortnight as well. I got told off when I was young for swinging on our own gate.
It's her property and she has every right to be angry at them, but then the police moronically sides with the youths.

Innocent 34 year old woman dead probably as she tried to block him from robbing or r*ping her, and another woman a bit older that was hurt really badly is fighting for her life.
Damn, they just went to the beach to enjoy the weather and this happened. 
The one that died kind of hurts me emotionally as I'm 34 too and she shouldn't be dead, ffs.
Moreover, there might be some safe areas in the U.K., but most are dangerous and that's why I don't like going out at night. If it were a different country I trusted to? Yeah, no prob.

It's ridiculous and wrong. I think the police are targeting the elderly because they are scared of the gang so went for the easy option. It's wrong. I'm glad the media has picked up on it and shamed the police on it
I can not really write what I would like to. But you have said it all really. This country as a whole is a joke and the law well what more can you say. This is totally unbelievable, would someone somewhere get a grip of the waste of Space people
The world has gone mad. I was out walking the other night with husband and a van was literally parked on the pavement leaving a tiny gap to through for pedestrians but the van driver got angry with my husband because my husband put his hands in the air, didn’t say anything and the van driver started getting out and saying ‘you got a problem mate’. I told my husband to walk away. Yes, there was a problem mate, you are blocking the pavement.

It’s a shame that these days all i hear about in regard to police is them being rubbish.
My friend’s mum’s neighbour barged into his mum’s house and punched her in the face. When the police came they said there was nothing they could do as the neighbour was a carer for her dad. They then spent 4 hours arguing with my friend about this, then threatened to arrest him for disturbing the peace.

Years ago they were well trained and knew how to handle the general public
Now they cannot find quality material and have to train who is available , not just suitable
People joined the force with the oath in mind, to protect and serve , now its just a job , and they want the easiest life possible , do the job and go home
I am not saying all the police are this way but you do see it a lot
Saying that todays policing is more dangerous than years ago, everyone carrying knives , knowing they are more or less immune from prosecution , then there are the terrorists etc, and they have political correctness to deal with , always in fear of doing or saying the wrong thing
Not a job i would relish myself today , and the public suffer the consequences of it all
No suprise, we live in s country where the criminal is now the victim, country is lost

My Eastend grandad used to stand leaning on the gate of his front garden and ironically shout at the kids to 'stop their F*@kin swearing'. My countryside grandad had four sons of his own and none of the local kids bothered them due to the eldest someone you just didn't cross. As for this elderly couple they need to learn their rights and have an advocat talk on their behalf to the authorities to reduce any stress. Security camera's and a large assistance dog wouldn't go amiss and remote controlled sprinkler systems on the front lawn are always fun too. I hope their neighbours step up too as there is a lot to be said for power in numbers.
Initially, I wasn't going to vote for Reform or anyone, but they're the best option there is and for a leader, it's Farage, not Tice.
Tory and Labor are essentially the same now., and the U.K. desperately needs to be reformed so people like this grandma don't have to live in fear.
Yesterday I saw a teen (I'd guess 16-17) as I was on a journey and went by metro, and what did he do? Force his way through the gates where the disabled/baby stroller pass through (I guessed he'd climb it or something as there was a clear X sign).
That was really sad to see and I assume it's normal for him.

I can see why people are losing respect for the police and instead taking the law into their own hands.
