Happy Leap Year! 4 Fun Facts

Hey Deal Hunters! Just wanted to say... Happy Leap Year!
Here are 4 fun facts about Leap Years:
- Leap years are necessary to keep our calendar in sync with Earth's revolutions around the sun, as it takes approximately 365.25 days for Earth to complete one orbit. Without leap years, our calendar would gradually fall out of sync with the seasons.
- The rule for determining leap years is that a year is a leap year if it is divisible by 4, except for years that are divisible by 100 but not divisible by 400. This adjustment accounts for the slight inaccuracies in the 365.25-day approximation.
- February 29th, the extra day added in a leap year, is known as Leap Day. People born on Leap Day are often referred to as "leaplings" or "leapers" and typically celebrate their birthdays on either February 28th or March 1st in non-leap years.
- Leap years have been used for thousands of years. The concept was first introduced by the ancient Romans, but the modern system of adding a leap day every four years was standardised by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, hence the term "Gregorian calendar."

And here's another. To keep the women happy when they asked permission to propose, the church granted them 1 day every four years to do so. If they were rejected their love interest had to buy them 24 pairs of gloves so the lady could disguise the fact she wore no betrothal ring!
Blame Kate Garraway if any of that is incorrect as she told us on GMB this morning!
