Just booked our family holiday for 2 months time!!
Any recommendations to what you would take? Normally take a small first aid kit with rehydration salts and Imodium!
Can't wait!! Trying not to spend as well so we will have a bit of spending money but keep seeing things on here I want to buy!
a 4 way plug adapter...means you only have to use 1 converter which will give you 4 sockets to use!
If the holiday involves wet swimming costumes; a length of strong string and perhaps a few small clothes pegs are very useful. If self catering a plastic pan scourer adds less than an ounce to luggage weight a needle and a few various sewing threads aren't too heavy either.
I'm with davidstockport on this one.
My family always laugh about my string, swiss army knife, small scissors, and roll of sellotape. But always need one or the other at some point. It's surprising what you can do with sellotape when needs must.
Great idea, we were warned against hanging clothes out in the Gambia in case a bot fly layed it's eggs but was hot enough inside for stuff to dry very quickly. Not worrying about the flys this time!
Will be taking photo copy of our passports as well as well as passports and definitely need a cream and maybe deet
Paracetamols/ calpol in Spain u can only get them from the phamacy , Poundland washing line (normally by the camping stuff) ,extension lead so u only need one travel adapter ,power bank incase ur stuck in delays, and the only other thing I make sure I take is some detol surface wipes just to give things a quick wipe over x
Some teabags, sugar sachets and little milk pots, so you can have a cup of tea and a relax when you get in, rather than dashing to the supermarket right away.
Also, if your card issuer charges you for taking money out of using your card abroad, look into getting a Monzo card or similar to avoid those charges. Saves you having to convert currency before you go too!
I don't think there is a cash machine there so think we will have to take cash which I'm not keen on
MumOfThree You can buy stash hairbrushes which are good for storing paper money in. Amazon do them. Means you can safely leave money at your hotel etc and just take out what you need for the day.
