I dont know about the hotels P, but be careful if you stop to watch the snake charmers

If you take a photo they will pursue you for money

I had a big argument with one when he called his mates over, i made a quick exit

telmel yeah some parts of turkey are terrible for that, traders getting angry and abusive if you don't buy from them, beggars everywhere, we went to Istanbul 4 years ago, I will never go there again , horrible place, marmaris is great, we will be there in 3 days, can't wait to feel warm again lol

martinlufc5637 I went there years ago M, had a really good time, and cheap for food and drink , even better , but i don't know about the present , i didn't realise things had gone up in price that much , at least the exchange rate is good

Paradise7 No problem P , also be careful of pickpockets in the market places , its not just there but most holiday destinations, the more crowded the more opportunity for them, take only what you need out with you and dont carry money in your handbag

One trick thieves use is they cut the shoulder strap off your bag when you are in a crowd

There are also people called hugger muggers, they come up to you and embrace you as if they know you, and before you know it your necklace and watch have gone

It sounds bad but it happens everywhere, just use common sense and you will be ok , it is a fascinating place

martinlufc5637 That's a whopping increase M , even the good exchange rate won't make a great difference then

Well if these prices continue, we will be looking to go somewhere else next time, I like marmaris it's always been cheap food wise, a bottle of Corona was £2.30, it's now over £7
