What Housework Chore Do You Dislike the Most?
Other
Mine is changing the duvet but as i have already had a moan about that on here, my second worse is pulling out furniture (beds, sofas etc.) in order to hoover. I can't believe the amount of dust and fluff that accumulates in those places. It's mostly an age thing now as it didn't use to bother me when I was young and strong!
JLouM No, I hardly touch mine tbh honest, just bung a dishwasher tablet in every so often and wipe around the door and edges with an anti bac cloth. It's served me well and I mostly do the lowest wash and everything is ultra clean. Maybe a longer wash if heavy cooking stuff. Surprised how much stuff it holds, having people for a meal is no problem.
Rinse the filter every so often but that is no problem either.
JLouM 100% with you it totally does my head in can't tell you why just hate it
All of them I don't know how many times I've hoovered today I lost count kids always make a mess
MelissaLee1 must admit that's a rotten job, but my oven stays pretty clean now I use the air fryer so much, along with microwave.

Changing the bed sheets- specially the duvet covers- I get in such a pickle with it ! It makes it harder that my cats think its a fabulous game !!
Ironing! I only do it if I absolutely have to. I have been known to use the hair straighteners to give something a quick iron if it really needed it.
Hate cleaning windows, mirrors etc..I wear a lot of clothes that don't need ironing for work/ every day,I want to be comfortable.
I iron or get my partner to iron my outfit when I'm going out somewhere special..
I only iron at work & that's just a a few sets of clothes for Service User for when he goes to Day Centre/ out of a special occasion..
Worked as a Domestic Goddess all over Sheffield with my close friend years ago doing everything from Doctor/ Physiotherapist homes to Student cleans, seen everything!
Hated cleaning ovens ,filthy microwaves, glass, always felt a sense of achievement afterwards as we were walking away, absolutely shattered!
Dislike cleaning but honestly like others have said dishwashing is the worst standing there normally getting some water everywhere on and on and it's a constant.
wonderingsoul ...
I fall asleep on settee, wake early hours of morning, wash dishes & wipe worktops down the feed & settle our cats in their beds.
I sometimes have a little helper with the dishes ,our torti Topaz likes to climb on my shoulder & inpect the dishes, plates etc, especially at 5am!!
I actually don't mind cleaning, always feel that sense of satisfaction afterwards. My one pet hate though is cleaning the wooden blinds, I have these at the front of the house, once I start them it actually doesn't take long but it's just the thought of it haha.
Think my pet hate is cleaning windows as once you’ve done them you think they look good until the sun comes out and then all the smears show
I used to enjoy housework because I would get instant gratification but now I’m not able to these simple tasks. I have to rely on others and it’s so frustrating waiting.
As I’m getting older my arm aches changing the duvet covers. I have tiled floors so they need a hoover daily and cleaned regular.
All of them but if I had to pick one it's probably sweeping the floors. I have a cat that seems to shed constantly or throw litter around plus kids mess. It needs doing several times a day and drives me mad
washing up, I hate the sensory nature of balancing hot/cold water, sorting through very different weights and sizes of dishes, touching all the slime-y food bits. Eww to it all! And yet, it's the chore I do the most because it's endless!
Washing dishes, i hate it but currently no space for a dishwasher until we get a new kitchen
Cleaning the windows for me, every time i do it they look worse than if i hadn’t bothered. I’m also pretty rubbish at ironing (so don’t do it most times )
For me it’s ironing but I find it’s the thought of it that’s the worst bit cos once I get ironing board up & find something good to watch on tv I can fly through the ironing while watching a good film
