Are You an Innocent Freeloader??
Ask a Question
I guess most of us on here are a bit savvy. But are you a freeloader? If so how much? I don't mean freeloader in taking advantage of others generosity. I mean, do you take the left overs home from your meal out? Do you take a few extra napkins when in Macdonald's, charge your phone at work rather than at home, Take the complimentary biscuits and teabags home from your hotel room? I'll admit I'm guilty of all these lol.
Yeah I do all of this stuff as well but a lot of the things you listed I would personally say are included in the price you pay. For example taking the tea bags etc, that’s no different than if you had drunk the tea in your hotel room. Same with the left overs, it’s your meal that you’ve paid for.
It always pays to be savvy
I must confess I raid the ketchup sachets from McDonald's and burger king lol even though there's loads in our cupboard
martinlufc5637 Years ago, I used to help myself to copious of McDonalds and Burger King serviettes, straws, paper napkins, plastic spoons, forks and knives, sachets of various sauces but never sugar! I went into McDonalds lately with a half price voucher, and nothing was free.
I don’t do leftovers but I do take posh napkins from the garden centre if I had a meal and used at the time. I would only take 2-3. They are complimentary with your meal. I take coffee sachets from hotels. They were for me to drink anyway. I do charge my phone at work but not for personal use. I need to use my calculator when cashing up and I have big buttons on my phone. The calculator buttons are too small and fiddly. So yes but with respect, I don’t take so much it would dent their business, that would be stealing, just a little here and there.
I don’t take leftovers- but freebies from hotel rooms, sauce sachets, napkins - why not. Which ever business it is obviously take the cost of these items into the running of their business or they wouldn’t be available for you to take would they ?
