"IPTV" What's the Best App to Sideload onto a Firestick
Ask a Question
Years ago I was thinking about watching TV with the Kodi App but it wasn't any good, are there any decent APPs to sideload onto a firestick to allow football as well as movies.
IPTV's just, well, pirated streams of shows/movies and live TV channels. My father paid £40 for IPTV during two years, but the channels no longer work nor the email for customer service. If he paid via PayPal he may be able to get his money back, gotta ask.
I could have told him that was a bad idea, and he'd still do it.
Anyway, you might as well just download it so no flaky streams. I dunno about sport streams.
PhilipMarc Thanks for replying, I know that you can watch free streaming sites on the firestick, but I've heard about people selling fully loaded firesticks however I'm unsure whether or not they can be trusted or not and was wondering what App's you use for free sports and movies, I'll maybe need to look into it further. Cheers.
pato Those fully loaded Android TV Boxes / Fire Sticks tend to be done for the sake of quantity over quality.
After I got used to Android, I bought Android TV Boxes and installed apps myself and uninstalled/disabled the default ones since they weren't useful to me.
Android offers so much freedom and liberty in terms of its operating system / software, but if I'd use an Apple device I'd be stuck with what Apple dictates is acceptable. Well, unless I'd jailbreak (not worth the hassle, imo I'd just rather have an Android).
I don't have a firestick myself but downloaded kodi onto my mother's firestick and there are still some addons that work but you will need to install a vpn as well. I installed the free protonvpn onto my mother's firestick. It works quite well. It helps that she has quite fast fibre broadband. If you google best kodi addons september 2022 you should get some hits with information. You are always going to find it hit and miss though in my experience. I don't watch a lot of stuff but sometimes it takes a few tries before a stream works and some programs I want to watch don't have any streams available. The newer the stuff the more likely there is a good stream available but older stuff can be problematic. I use kodi and vpn on a home cinema pc downstairs and a laptop upstairs at my house. I was quite impressed with how a firestick works though. There is a smart youtube app that works on firestick blocks ads and skips sponsored content like nordvpn in videos. That is very good.
BonzoBanana Thanks for the input, I'll have a read into what Kodi has to offer these days and hopefully I'll get a result. Cheers.
pato I can hazard a guess as to why your past experience of using Kodi wasn't very good, and I will help you to understand why that is. Free streams suffer with constant buffering and are usually of very low quality. One reason for this is the amount of traffic they get. To get the best out of Kodi you need to find a good add on such as Mad Titan Sports and link it with Real Debrid. This is a premium service that searches for premium links up to 4K in resolution.
There is one called daisy iptv they offer a free trail full package starting from £10 a month cheaper if you pay by the year . I tried them for the trail was pretty good incredible for sports daisyiptv.com/
The only people who say that Kodi isn't any good are those who don't know how to use it properly. For you guys I would recommend a Sky Sports or BT subscription!
DeepPockets I'm not willing to subscribe to BT sport's or Sky sports as the prices are extortionate
