Children not in school are not learning they are missing their education. Many missed days have knock on effect on the child's future achievement. Children left at home without an adult are a child protection risk.

Kids are in school for education, and need a break too. If theyre in every day it's more like a childcare facility than an educational facility.

Kids don't wanna go school for many reasons bullying the biggest factor my oldest is home educated and she's come on so much since being in school she's having that one to one daily she goes to clubs to meet new friends even tho she's still in contact with her friends from her old school

I think that the pandemic response, and the shutting of schools, proved that kids missing school was not as detrimental to their education as parents had been told in the past.

belljulie93 when it comes to exams, children who haven't caught up on the work they've missed will be at a great disadvantage. I taught physics for 17 years so I do know what I'm talking about. A poor attitude to attendance is always indicative of a poor attitude in general, and parents who think education doesn't matter are always badly educated themselves, and fail to give their children any aspirations. Good parents and good attendance give every child a better chance of success.

Yes they should be not learn if not at school. Plus out on the streets more knife crime. Plus stop parents going out to work having to look after kids. Theyll just get addicted to being on games machines. Who ever thinks kids don’t need full time education. These kids will end with no employment prospects so they’ll end up on benefits like a lot of parents our who allow there kids to stay home. And that will cost every tax payer more income tax

I believe school children should be in school everyday. Socialising and building immunity is a massive part in a child's growth which schooling provides.

Yes they should. As it is they are out by 3 anyway. Sometimes 2.30!! They get plenty of holiday so they should be there the rest of the time. Stops trouble on the streets.

5 days a week is enough, weekends for us is family time, the only days we're all together

They need more time in school since covid. Our sons school starts at 9.00 o'clock and finishes at 02.20 o'clock

Absolutely. Too many children are missing out on a full education. They also need the discipline of school attendance otherwise can lead to issues when they leave school

It depends on what they are doing when not at school. Hanging around the streets vapjng/smoking and getting into trouble. Kids out of school doing sports, dance or something productive is fine.

Everyday? No. Everyday Is seven times a week. Would you want to work seven days a week? No. It Is bad enough working five now.
