A Kiss between a Parent and a Child

Other

there has been a lot of criticism of a particular photo showing David Beckham kissing his daughter on the lips

I don't think there is anything beyond a sweet display of affection between a dad showing his daughter, but some have voiced how disgusted they are by it

really?

Nothing wrong with it at all. If it ain't eyes shut and lingering what on earth is the problem?

I kiss all mine on the lips, and the youngest is 7, eldest 10. 😀

Nothing wrong, just people overreacting as usual. This was normal back then but not now? Come on.

there is indeed an overly sensitive generation out there, perhaps exacerbated by the press and media. It's a tad ironic that the modern day parent is expected to deal with a child's psychologic needs by allowing them to be who they want, but they ought to refrain from showing too much affection. Weird

hspexy modern parents just give their kid(s) an expensive iPhone XR, iPad or a PS4/Xbox One and that's it. The days of families going out are kinda gone, most are too obsessed with what someone says on Facebook and always check the phone for whatever updates on X profile.

Rockman it's a real shame as it's always important to bond with your kids. Otherwise there is a generation of psychopaths out there with no emotional attachments

i Don’t think you should have to justify it to the world, its a show of affection between family/people who love each other nothing more nothing less I personally wouldn’t do it but I’ve absolutely no issues with it, it neither offends or disgusts me.. it’s love and affection and to be honest the world need more of that!!

I completely agree. Perhaps the only thing that Beckhams can be criticised of is the need to post it on social media? but the photo itself is indeed something to be cherished

Both my kids kiss me .. i see my daughter 3 or 4 times a week and shes leaving she leans over n pecks me either on the lips or cheek .n shes married n 24 . My son i see couple of times a year n he picks me up n twirls me round n then kisses me n hes 27 ... i just think its a lovely way of showing your parents u care xwen they get older n the younger kids just do it to show affection x no1 would ever tell me or my kids its wrong n stop coz i wouldnt if the kids still wanted to show me love id gladly accept it with open arms n love xxx

He just likes to wind people up. Like the time he was criticising Daniel Craig holding the baby. Best to ignore people who like to get rile people up for attention

Nothing wrong with it, he loves his daughter and it's a sign of affection. I would be offended if it was not someone who was the parent that did this though.

yes indeed. I think people have completely forgotten that Harper was in the photo too, and she clearly loves her daddy. It would have been a different story had the display been forced upon her, but I've yet to read a story about the Beckhams being bad parents (if anything, their family is one of the most positive things about the Beckham brand)

Sometimes it just ends up there. Kids does not understand the concept of this so no one should decide on this.
