Do You Know the Order of the Ten Commandments ?

I am just watching BBC The Sixth Commandment.which I am really enjoyng great cast. I am not a religious person, but from attending Church as a child. I thought I knew the Ten Commandments but was surprised that " Thou shall not kill" was so far down the list.
JLouM I thought it was higher ,but there BBC says it's No 6, when I Google it, bibleinfo.com/ gives them as:
1.You shall have no other gods before Me.
- You shall make no idols.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
- Keep the Sabbath day holy.
- Honor your father and your mother.
- You shall not murder.
- You shall not commit adultery.
- You shall not steal.
- You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
- You shall not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor.
I would have put it as No. 1
beccatavender Maybe I had a different version. I remember it as 1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart and 2) Love your neighbour as yourself. Maybe I’m thinking New Testament rather than Old Testament which is the Ten Commandments as you have laid out. But I thought do not murder was 2 or 3 though I am probably very wrong!

Actually I watched all 4 episodes in one sitting and thought it was a really good drama but extremely upset that it was based on real life happenings.
Lynibis I did the same, I didn't remember the case until the end when I saw photos of the victims. Its so sad that there is so much evil in the world, monsters taking advantage of lonely people.
TheChimp It isn't really about religion, but memory, I was just surprised when watching The Sixth Commandment, that murder was so far down the list.
Do not murder is definitely the 6th commandment. RMPS is the subject that I teach. Most people are surprised it isn't further up.
I've seen the programme advertised but haven't watched it.
I used to go to Sunday school and i was a top A student in RE and remembering all the books of the bible off my heart but I have never been religious.
