Last Time You Had a Picnic?
Ask a Question
When is the last time you went on a Picnic?
I'm hoping the weather stays nice so we can go on one this weekend! Theres been so much rain lately and now the field behind us is finally dry enough.
Had one at home over the bank holiday. Planning on doing one soon.over easter had an unprompted one with friends
I don’t think Ive ever had a proper picnic as an adult but planning to a do a good one this year.
jms19 I just love it! We got a really nice picnic basket as a wedding gift years ago and I love an excuse to get it out.
I used to take MrsChimp on picnics all the time, but I don't go out much now because of my health. I will be trying my hardest to go and have one this summer though. If it comes down to it, we'll just have one on the patio. It would be on the grass, but we have a clay base, so it'll probably take until late July to dry out enough
In this country I can not remember the last time. Years ago we were always off to Camber Sands and would meet family there. A great time had by all.
Probably when I was a child, so about 1997. It wasn't something we did as a family, unless on holiday somewhere. Might have one in the garden for my son and his friends in the summer holidays.
I didn’t prepare a picnic myself, I cheated. I bought several Tesco meal deals and we took them to the local beach and are them. I intend doing that again.
We very often have little picnics, always take a few sandwiches, crisps and drinks if we're off on a walk and just plonk ourselves down on the grass somewhere nice to eat them.
Haven't had a proper picnic for may years. When kids were young we used to take a picnic if we went somewhere but it was a lot of faff and not cheap , mind you we used to have a proper feast sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, scotch eggs , cakes biscuits , drinks and two flasks one for tea and one for coffee, the list goes on. Now we tend to have a large breakfast, a snack in the day and a meal in the evening somewhere like Harvester .
It was during the covid lock downs on local fields. But was spoilt by idiots on motorbikes riding really close to you. Or dog walkers throwing a ball for the dog next to you so of cause the dog jumps all over you because it realises you have food. Gave up having picnics too much hassle.
We had one this weekend. We went away for the weekend. The kids are asking for another one now
