Latest Deals Competition Suggestion

I know that Tom is always up for new suggestions to further better this fantastic website. I wondered whether it was possible to include a monthly competition that the person who generates the highest sales/profit gets a small bonus points added to the account?
I wouldn’t expect to see exactly how much we make the company, but just for a bit of fun be interested to know how well we are doing and that we are promoting great offers that result in fantastic sales!

In 2016 when Latest Deals first launched, we began by splitting all commission earned 50/50 with members. Real hard cash.
We were the only deals community to do this. It was - and still is - central to our mission to be the deals community to give back. We really shook up the whole space and many people have now copied our initiatives.
However, the marketing message about splitting commission was too complicated. You had to wait up to 3 months to get the money, sometimes it's declined, only some retailers pay us money.... It never became popular.
So we switched to LD Points. Instant rewards for whatever you post. You get it straight away for everything including retailers and post types we make no money from whatsoever. And LD Points became an instant hit. A far easier message to understand!
We have no plans to going back but we have been thinking about introducing fun leaderboards. For example, here's a preview of one behind-the-scenes about competitions. It shows how many people have entered competitions:

I don't know if this would be a good suggestion, but could a special bonus be offered to anyone that hits the million points ?
I am not suggesting this because i am anywhere near, honestly 
Seriously though, i think something like this would be a great encouragement for people to get involved more and a good target to try to reach and achieve
And great publicity for LD

telmel I agree as it might encourage more people to post. I find a fair few that comment but for some reason don’t post anything?
telmel What about those who are past the 1,000,000 already, would it be retrospective?

It shows how much commitment is made to achieve it , as it takes a lot of time and effort to reach that figure
I was not a member of LD from the beginning , i found it by chance , i mainly just entered competitions
But i am hooked now , and get great pleasure out of partaking in chat as well as posting competitions etc
There are problems , but they are always resolved in the end
jillylovesyou years and years ago a 4 city break with flights, £500 each trip, 3 nights in posh hotel, and classical concert. It included transfers too. We went to Milan, London, Switzerland and Germany.
I have also won £400 spa voucher, coffee maker, £1000 furniture store voucher, and recently £350 of products of the year, many, many others too. But lately pickings are thin and others on here have noticed that too.
telmel I joined in 2016 but didn't start contributing properly until at least a year later. I use it for competitions as I have been a comper for more years than I care to remember!
You are certainly right that it takes an awful lot of time and continuous dedication and, yes, I do have more than 1,000,000 points already. It is very easy to get hooked on both entering and posting and there have been hiccups along the way but as you say these are usually resolved very quickly.

You should at least have gotten the golden buzzer or a blue peter badge 
telmel I got the usual £50 amazon voucher and I expect it will be the same when I get to 2mil unless this post changes anything.

thanks Lynibis I have been lucky too L and have won many prizes , my three most memorable were a trip to New Zealand , loved seeing Hobbiton, a trip on the Orient Express around London with Yorkshire tea , (i had to edit as i had put tetley in error) .a very unique experience and lots of souvenirs from Yorkshire including a teapot , milk and sugar bowl and an album all about the day with pictures they took and printed , also enjoyed the tea cocktails
Another memorable one was an invitation to the launch of the MSC Belissimo , being picked up by a chauffeur and taken to the ship at Southhampton, , a fantastic meal onboard rubbing shoulders with celebrities and stars like Sophie Loren who launched the ship
There was a concert but they had to abandon it because of high winds , the lighting above was in danger of blowing down , but we got about 15 or so minutes of opera from Andrea and Matteo Bocelli
Hollie Willoughby was the host , no sign of phill though
All the drinks were free including champagne and because the concert was abandoned you could drink earlier into the early hours , they had different themed music on each level
And got a great wooden and metal souvenir of the ship on a stand left on the bed when got back to the cabin
It ended with a nights stay on the ship and a lovely buffet breakfast in the morning

lilyflower L, it happens to me all the time i get posts , competitions and freebies removed almost every day for various reasons , but i wont give up , its not in my nature
jillylovesyou No, i think they left when the winds started J , the organisers were worried about our safety so we all were ushered back onto the ship and on to the restaurant but Sophie Loren gave a short speech from one of the inside walkways above a little later, it was a night to remember
jillylovesyou I do spend a few hours a day and won a lot previously, but it is the same as others have said, i am winning less now, have won a few spar vouchers with the football competition though
Lynibis It wasn't the one that goes to Venice L , i would love to do that one, this one was just around London and outer regions
It does take up a lot of time i agree, but i am glad to have spent the time and managed to win some unique prizes
Anyone can do the same if they persevere

great suggestion but even if there's no points prize would be nice to see leaderboards for deals, vouchers and comps
