Do You Have a Local Park?
Ask a Question
Do you have local play areas you can take your kids to?
Do you find them clean and tidy (Free from litter), not damaged or with things like a swing missing?
We have a few play areas near us. All of them are clean and tidy, there are never any items damaged or missing.
Very lucky to live less than 5 minutes from a nice big park. I always call it my back garden. I don’t have kids but there is a massive play ground there that is very well maintained
I’m lucky to live in a small old council estate. Its a lovely old fashioned street where everyone knows everyone and less than 5 minutes away there is a big football sized pitch on one side of the road and on the other side of the road there are swings and climbing frames etc.
I live near park and river so am most fortunate. All have groups that support ,tidy and plant.
I have a decent size park,5 min to one side of our house a decent size park 5 min to other side,a decent sized park just over 15 min away & a big park 15 min away...x
There is a park at the end of the road l live on..it has toilets, swings, slide, sand pit and zip wire, cycle/walking path, rose garden area, children's library, scouts hut and picnic areas..l absolutely love it we also have a local get together a few times a year for a tidy up via our parks Facebook page...
There is a small park 5 minute walk. The local council lock it about 6pm. There’s a playground area and field, we’re lucky. Plus the forest is only 10-15 walk away.
My back garden is the local park. It's lovely. Is looked after. We have a park keeper still luckily.
We have a few and most are really well maintained by gardeners. I did go to one the that doesn't have a gardener and is more hidden away and some one has set fire to one of the play equipment . My daughter and I were so sad.
Got a small one with swings, picnic tables and a mini basketball court about 1 minute walk from my home and a much larger one with more stuff about 3 minutes walk. There is a big recreation park with a lot more stuff about 13 minutes walk from me but the council with all its debts is talking about cutting back there but presumably all the children's swings, seesaws, climbing frames etc will stay but I guess if they don't have someone checking the condition and safety of some of the bigger more dangerous activitites those might be removed. The countryside and cycle routes are fairly close too perhaps 11 minute walk to the south. Yeovil seems to have a lot of decent parks but not sure how they compare to other places.
We have loads of parks near us, But unfortunately they are overrun with anti social behaviour, teens drinking ect.. I tell my kids to stay well clear of them
We have quite a few parks near to where I live and some are ok but others i#are in need of repair. We have found a fanntastic one though in a village about 5 miles from us, could spend most of the day bthere with a picnic and drinks.
