I used to for a while, then stopped when so many games came out. Hardly ever won anything and at most £10. I do, however, play scratch cards if I have the money. Only ever £1 ones though. Get £2 back fairly often. Occasionally I have been lucky and won as much as £15. Only very occasionally though. Lose often too though but that’s the gamble.

JLouM I agree with you. I brought the Team GB £1 scratchcard last week and today I scratched it off and won £2 on the bonus game!

I can count on one hand the number of times I have done the lottery. My friend does her lucky numbers twice a week. Obviously they’re not lucky numbers 😂

I use to do it every Saturday and mostly when it was a roll down (had to be won), l never had any set numbers and would choose a lucky dip, l stopped doing it 3years ago as l decided that I'm not a lucky person, l won't be doing it ever again.

I personally don’t play regularly but have always intended to as it would be less than a fiver to play Wednesday and Saturday, which i wouldn’t miss, but if i won it would be life changing

I did the lottery for 29 years, gave up last year. £32 per month was too much.

If the average amount I hyperthetically spent on the lottery each week were £10, I would be £23,920 in profit because I have never done it! That's a whopping £23,920 I have saved. I know when it started it was usually £1 people spent but look at how it has grown with extra lotteries each week and scratch cards. If I had played the lottery I most likely would have spent even more than this.

jam45 it's called search lotto . Basically you use a search engine and every 25 searches earns you 1 entry in either national lottery or euro millions entry.

I used to play it when it first started up. £5 a week and in a year I won £10 so I stopped and put the money in a post office savings account which I used as an emergency fund

Waste of money, mainly as I don’t believe I’d ever win the jackpot. Money is earned

Lalou ....They didn't win much , only a few hundred as there was something like 200 winners, like I said it was a freak incident, it wasn't long after the National Lottery started..

We also grew up with Barnsley winner Lesley Lerard who lived over our back garden in Sheffield when she was a teenager.

I don't play it any more after reading this article about how long it takes to claim since the lottery was taken over. They seem to be in a shambles! www.mirror.co.uk/money/lottery-scratchcard-winners-face-huge-32283220

It used to be good when it first started up and we viewed it as a Saturday night treat to see if we were the winners.I feel it all became too much with lots of different games and scratch cards so I don't take part anymore.
