All are on the danger list if you believe what is in the financial papers - so far they have been 100% correct!

Who do you think is next?

Soon the high street will be dead and everything will be internet based like Amazon!

Yikes! Some of those names (Argos and Debenhams in particular) seem almost too big to fail! That said, I was in Debenhams over the weekend and it was rather quiet and, given a choice, I'd probably have gone to John Lewis or House of Fraser instead!

It's hard to compete with Amazon when they're often cheaper and now can do same-day deliveries. I guess the high street's benefit of old was always instant gratification but Amazon pretty much has that covered too now.

I can sort of see Argos - We had 3 close in our area over the past year or so. Instead now we just have In Store Argos @ Sainsburys. Maybe thats the way Argos will go. With Online selection and then pick up at collection in store at Sainsburys?

Argos is owned by sainsburys and they are all owned by the arabs so its quite hard to see it fail and I like Argos but who knows never thought BHS would go or ABC Cinemas - quite sad really Glasgow town centre is just a maze of cheap and nasty pound shops , tawdry little newsagents and rummage stores all of the big ones like Virgin and Hmv on union street are gone its quite depressing!
