Mercari App is Closing Down

Didn't use it too much but still it is an useful app and have bought couple times from there.

Anyone sad to see this going and what other apps similar to this one are you using?

Dear Mercari user,

We recently emailed you to let you know that Mercari is closing down in the UK. In this email, we want to give you some more information about the closing of our payments service, Merpay.

When you buy or sell on the Mercari app, the payments service is provided by our sister company Merpay Limited. As the Mercari app will stop working on 15 March 2019, the services from Merpay will also stop on that date. This email gives you formal notice of termination of the Merpay service.

If you have a balance in your Mercari account, your money continues to be safe.

From 15 March, the Mercari app will no longer work. The fastest way to request a balance withdrawal is through the app, so we strongly encourage you to do so before that date. We also suggest that you make a copy of your transaction and payment history.

After the app stops working, you can still request to withdraw balances for up to six years, however you will need to email us at uk-contact@mercari.com to do so.
