'Missing' Amazon Parcel

Other

Ordered, given estimated delivery date, followed tracking as it went from Warrington, then Thurrock (nearish to me), but then after 'cannot deliver due to external factors ' then, surprisingly, back in Rugby. ??????? Worse to come. Went into 'my orders ' on Amazon to find my order had been delivered. Well, no, it hasn't. Can't fault Amazon, they replied to my email within a couple of hours assuring me another sent out and mine had been lost. What I would like to know is, how does a parcel (large dimplex heater) get lost. More like misappropriation!!!!

Seems like it's gone walkies...A lot of dodgy couriers mark as delivered but in reality not... Best of luck in this situation and you are lucky yours got replaced... If you go on trustpilot some people have lost expensive goods with no recourse!!!

This has happened a few times with me. They normally resend the parcel and give between £10 - £30 promo credit.

Had a delivery just dumped on my doorstep the other day. Delivery person didnt even knock on the door or ring the door bell! Lucky it wasn't stolen. Guess the drivers are under pressure to just offload deliveries

They are under immense pressure and scrutiny. No wonder there was some protesting going on I heard on the news the other day...

deepcore if what’s being reported is true, then I don’t blame the delivery drivers and warehouse staff for making ‘mistakes’

hspexy If you go on YouTube you can see dodgy drivers stealing packages from porches on CCTV.

deepcore yes I’m sure there are crooks too. We had a rogue postie in our area once, and it’s just one of those services where the opportunities are too irresistable for some to pass

I should add this was not delivered by Amazon but a company called Hermes. I have every sympathy with the delivery people, they earn rubbish money and terrible conditions etc but I could not understand the tracking of coming down south then going back up North! Also no justification for stealing if this is what has happened.

Hermes are absolutely horrendous - our local courier left parcels in our bins on bin day., When i asked him not to he yelled at me. Now every parcel from them going mysteriously to 'held, unable to deliver' and we have to chase before they're returned. Fine if you know you're expecting something but I worry about missed comp wins.

Who did you order from? If Amazon then go into your order and then order details, invoice or whatever, just keep clicking buttons until you get an option to send an email. It took me forever to find how to contact, very frustrating, but just kept on until I got somewhere. Or you can google contact Amazon. Does it say it has been delivered on your order?

Hi, I just typed 'doorbell' into the search box to see what doorbell posts there were on LD around 22/10 and found your seller.

I suggest you get in touch with the Seller:

Good luck!

Happened to me. An order was marked as "delivered" when it really wasn't and the carrier just took it with him, while leaving a receipt with contact info, contact info that was impossible to actually reach the company.

I just contacted Amazon via live chat and it was solved, a replacement was sent and with express delivery.

Amazon are usually pretty good with refunds, I find - especially if you order frequently!

I ordered from amazon last saturday. Thursday delivery. On Monday I checked and it said it had been delivered and handed to resident. I was like, no, I'm here all day, there was no parcel. Long story short Amazon had to issue me with a replacement and delivered today. I heard a faint tap at the door opened it. No one there. Then a man, who is literally dumping a parcel on my neighbours doorstep, turns to me and shouts parcel for you there on the plant pot. He jumped in his van and drove off as I picked my parcel out of the plant pot. Not sure if the neighbours were there or not as he left their parcel on the doorstep. I expect that is what happened on monday and it got nicked from the plant pot. Why bother to ring the door bell and wait for the person to answer when you can dump the parcels and drive off.

Must cost a fortune replacing missing parcels. Why aren't we asked to sign for them? Stolen goods means higher prices for all.

If you look on trustpilot reviews someone had a laptop marked as "delivered" but not received and Amazon wanted a p0lice report which could not be given as it was a civil matter.... Really puts me off buying expensive goods from there now... What if it happened to you and you can't do anything easily?

I was walking today down a road, and saw an Amazon package by the door, so I tried ranging the flat it was for... Nothing. Tried the others... Nothing. I also did knock on the door... Nothing.

Hope no one decided to steal it.

In that case there isn't much that can be done other than have it sent for collection.
