M&S to Push for Sales on Food

Other

M&S are to change their business strategy, which I think should do well, as I do buy their food more than anything else

I believe this may boost their sales

what do you think?

they made a deal with Ocado, so when the contract will finish than M&S food will be available on Ocado

it makes sense for them to do it. I see more M&S foodhal popping up, so they must know their food is popular. Their other stuff is not as lucrative for them, so they need to shift their focus

I think it's a wise move to shift more focus on the food. I regularly buy from the foodhalls but not so much from their clothing department. (their homewares will always do well because of the quality.) They have kept up well with food trends and options and their wine is always reliable. Tip - discovered their non alcoholic fizz for designated drivers called Fizzero and it is surprisingly tolerable.

Only way for them to grow their business and shield it from their terrible clothing and home proposition

M&S sell a couple of my favourite ready meals, the moussaka is so tasty. I will certainly use Ocado to deliver M&S food.

I still love the quality and prices of their woman’s fashion, I’m a classic dresser and don’t follow high fashion but does anyone. If and when I see a catwalk show I wonder who would wear some of their creations.

Lis hi - I think there was a different pic uploaded earlier, but now it is a blank red screen? it's a nice shade, either way 👍

Love M&S food. I don't buy it too often though as it is a bit expensive. Always buy yellow sticker stuff that we can freeze.

I LOVE m&s food the quality is amazing.

Its the price that doesn’t agree with me 😂 I only tend to pick up a few bits if I’m feeling particularly flush on payday 😂 I think it’s a step in the right direction as I often think of m&s as outdated so maybe it’s a good way to keep sales coming in x

My local M&S store is earmarked for closure this year, it only has a small food section which has always done well whereas the rest of the store has been quite for a number of years. Many people have suggested that M&S extend their food section which would have been great, but it fell on deaf ears.

I think food is the way forward as they messed up on their clothing ranges a few years back when they started trying to compete with the likes of Asda., Primark etc, quality went out the window with them.
