Names of Shops, Services Etc That Play on Words

While waiting for my car to have it's MOT yesterday I walked past a cafe I had not noticed before. It was called WAKE CUP CAFE, which I thought was rather clever. Seen lots of hairdressers with great names, what have you seen or have near you?
I recall a hairdressers called 'Curl up and dye' which TBH is from the film The Blues Brothers rather than a real shop.
However, I have heard of a fish & chop shop called 'The Cod Father' which I thought was brilliant.
tumblespots I can never think up clever names. I remember back when slogans were the thing for competitions and I knew I'd never win on the strength of mine.
Lynibis These days so many companies have slogans that I wish they had never started them. Nearly every van you follow has a slogan and it isn't something that they can't / don't usually live up to!
tumblespots I agree. I get a bit cross with misspellings like bedz, eezy, sqeazy etc. No need for it really and very confusing for children.
Lynibis Another that really annoys me is the '4u' on the end of something, Phones4u etc... This certainly doesn't promote good use of the language (or spelling) either
tumblespots was going to put that but thought I might be seen as petty but boy does it annoy me too.......Toys r us!
MelissaLee1 oh gosh the latter was a bit risky. Reminds me of a groom whose wedding ceremony I once performed......his name was *** Hing Man, I had to say it very carefully!
I love a good shop name & in Sheffield as well as everywhere else no doubt we have some great ones..
Codraphenia, Northern Sole & New Cod On The Block are some of the Fish & Chip Shop names, we have an Hairdresser called Ryan Hair 5 minutes from me, a British Hairways at the other end of Sheffield , not forgetting Lobby Toffs Hairdressers which is owned by an ex colleague's parents in a sought after area of our city..
We have a Sandwich Shop in an affluent area of Sheffield named Aye Crumb Bar near where I sometimes work
We have a Falafel Shop named Just Falafes & a Dog Grooming Van called Snip Doggy Dogg!
We also had a Sandwich Shop called Sam & Ella, this belonged to another ex colleague's child..
My Niece, husband, his business partner & wife have just opened a Cafe Bar called Ow Do in Rotherham Centre, Ow Do is a local greeting meaning Hello & used by local band Arctic Monkeys..
janphoenix51 that's fantastic, lots of clever and inventive people round your way. I once thought of having a diner for desserts where you could have dinner first go off to wherever and then have dessert at Getting Your Just Desserts.
Years ago on a business course we had to come up with names for businesses and one of the options was a shop selling curtain's and my suggestion was 'It's Curtain's For You' which I thought was quite clever but other people thought it had negative undertones. Looking online I can see that name is being used for a business nowadays. I suppose it was an obvious name for such a business.
BonzoBanana it certainly seems no worse than curl up and dye as in a comment further up! Curtain Call is pretty straightforward and memorable lol.
Bill Bailey once did a joke about a Lionel Richie themed Muslim butcher near where he lived called 'Halal, is it meat you're looking for'. Always loved that one
I know a couple of chippies with ‘plaice’ in the name
‘Our Plaice’ and ‘Market Place’ specifically
We’ve also got a chippie called ‘the playful pike’ and ‘bradwell fryer’
I always enjoy this sort of clever word play. I'm sure that I've seen lots of witty business names over the years. A couple that come to mind are Amy's Wine House (An Off Licence) and Jason's Doner Van (Kebabs).
Pinkspirit that's amazing, well done that man. Have seen quite a lot but can never remember them!
Must admit I love thinly sliced roast chicken with salad in a pitta.
Have you seen this to go with your kebab.

When I visited India, there was a shop called genuine fakes. Imagine trying that in the UK.
