Tips for Booking Tickets for National Cinema Day?
Money Saving
Every year there is National cinema day and the cost of tickets are £3 .My local cinema literally didn't have 1 seat left for any films so it might be prudent to pre book early as possible and inadvance.

Cinemas have struggled to stay viable for a long time but I think they may be losing the battle with films and boxsets so easily available at home. I imagine the one you mentioned was fully booked as it's still summer hols and a good, cheaper way to keep the kids amused for a couple of hours. The rest of the time they outprice themselves.
I have just checked my local cinema and it will not allow you to book tickets between the 1st and 5th of September for some reason.
eyeballkerry Mines the same except its only September the 2nd that they prevent being booked although likely also just fully booked because of the offer. It's likely if you just turn up its going to be nightmare queues. I considered going for the novelty while it was £3.
I’ve never even heard of this before, £3 is a pretty decent price but I don’t even know what’s showing atm. I’ll have to check the listings
Great, so I'll have somewhere to talk loudly to my mates, speak on my mobile and eat crisps noisily
RegularComper90 yes I think it's national dog day today and we recently had chocolate day!
chele44 If I was trying to get people back in the cinema I wouldn't have a single discount day because too many people will turn up and have an unpleasant time perhaps queuing and not even getting a ticket. It would seem more logical to have a tailored cheap day for people who haven't used the cinema for a long time to make their experience really enjoyable. I.e. perhaps offer them a cheap £3 ticket on their birthday in order to spread out demand. Just feels like many who take up this £3 offer will likely not have a good experience.
BonzoBanana actually that’s a great idea. I think I’d go if I was offered special price for my birthday plus no one usually goes to cinema on their own so they’ll get at least another full price ticket with it. Think on our birthday it would make us feel special
Why haven't I herd of this that sounds pretty awesome £3 a ticket is a steal theses days, thanks for the information definitely worth looking into
Will have to see if my local cinema is cheap. I haven't been since before lockdown used to be £2 for kids club but last time I looked was £3.50 not sure if they still even do it. We just watch on big screen at home
Just noticed my local cinema has just released tickets for Sat 2nd September at £3. Just need to see what they’ve on that day
I've booked to see The Blackening on Saturday 2nd. There was an additional £0.90 booking fee, but it's still a good offer.
ACR Booking fee? I bet there are more costs involved in actually providing tickets at the entry to the cinema. Extra staff time etc.
If you enjoy going to the cinema it’s worth getting a 3 PAYG. Every week you can claim a code for a £3 cinema ticket.
