Nectar Points on eBay? You'll Need to Use Nectar as It Were a Cashback Website.
In the News
It'll work like cashback websites. I don't really care much for Nectar Points too much as even collecting just 500ish (£2.50) took me ages to do so, but still, it sucks as it was nice to collect them.
I'd rather just use TCB/Rakuten than Nectar, then.
I won't be shopping as much on eBay as I used to collect lots of Nectar points. It's a shame because Nectar has gone downhill lately.
Jackscot It's still useful for shopping at Sainsbury's, but if I didn't... I'd just get rid of the card/account.
I and many others may be the cause of this of sorts. A recent ebay promotion for bonus nectar points was not honoured for many customers. I've lost out about 1500 points because of the complete lack of professional operation of Nectar. It's a terrible loyalty scheme that actually alienates their customer base. I think ebay are just sick of them now. I shall be waiting a couple of weeks and then contact ebay again about my missing nectar points. They have already contacted nectar twice about missing nectar points on my behalf collecting all the information from their site. Ebay have told me twice I am fully eligible for the bonus points but Nectar have never paid them.
I hope ebay come up with a better loyalty scheme professionally run to replace Nectar some sort of ebay points scheme.
BonzoBanana I don't recall eBay Spain/America having a rewards system so it'll probably be just an auction site, nothing more.
Though these days I prefer to sell via Vinted as the shipping label is provided automatically and sellers receive the full amount of the price it was sold for.
Still, eBay does have a bigger audience, so there's that.
I received emails from eBay and nectar about this yesterday, you can still collect points from shopping on eBay but you have to go through the nectar app
martinlufc5637 Yeah, but you have to decide if you want Nectar points or TCB/Rakuten/Quidco cashback.
I'll only be using Nectar when I shop at Sainsbury's and that's it.
PhilipMarc A nectar point is only worth half a pence where as both Topcashback and Quidco are both 1% cashback and they have had recently promotions for 2 or 3%. So no point bothering with Nectar on ebay in the future.
I don't buy much through Nectar, usually just Sainsburys. When I do go through nectar first I still don't get the points because they take so long to come through and by then I have had to clear my cookies and then Nectar/the company doesn't connect the dots so the points never arrive.
