New Nightclub That Only Opens during the Day, is This for You ?

Ask a Question

I dont know about you but in my younger days i only used to visit a nighclub in the evening, normally after a tour of our local pubs

Then it was either an Indian or a kebab to finish off the night

Now we have a nightclub that is actually a dayclub , where you can dance the day away

It opens at 2.00 pm and entry is until 4.00pm and targets the over 30s

It says that this way you won't have a problem getting a taxi home and will be home early enough to watch your favourite programmes

It doesnt actually say when it will close, so you could be there from 2.00 pm until 2.00 am if you last that long

All i see is increased alcohol sales for the club

What do you think ?

This was tried out in my home city of Sheffield on Dec 23rd & the tickets sold out straight away, Nottingham Actress Vicky Mcclure ,her husband Johhny Owens ,Sheffield's Reverend & The Makers front man Jon Mcclure ,no relation to Vicky as far as I know but could be not so distant relatives, Jon's from Sheffield & Vicky's from over the border in Nottingham so who knows!

janphoenix51 I remember they did this at Quaintways nightclub in Chester in the 80s , but it was only over christmas, i went myself with some mates , once inside it could have been the evening as it was no different than normal with just artificial light, but after a few hours drinking it was strange going out into the daylight and seeing everyone walking about shopping while i was in club mode , definitely an experience

I would certainly give it a go & I know my friend Sharon definitely would, she was the person wanting to go clubbing after we left the pub at 1am in Sheffield on Dec 22nd after celebrating her Boxing Day Birthday, to be fair we didn't go out after 9pm!

The Day Club run by Vicky Mcclure, Johnny Owens,Jon Mcclure was a huge success, you could view Art work by Sheffield's own artist Pete Mckee ,member of The Heavily Pregnant Brothers too..There is another Day Club this Saturday at Sheffield City Hall & there is one in Nottingham soon too, price in Sheffield £13,price in Nottingham £10 rules for Nottingham are different to Sheffield's too!!

I can't be bothered going out these days. Yeah I'd be up for a day time club.sadly there's no where to go where I live. They either closed down or just turn into trendy wine bars. There's no where for those that want to party all night. We used to have loads

Just like you it would be a visit after the pub when you were pretty well bladed already as drinks were dearer at the club. Seems a bit strange to do this in the day but Seems to appeal to some people
