Should dentists be required to take NHS patients?
With 13 million people struggling to see an NHS dentist, is it time to enforce changes in the profession? What do you think?

Yes I know I’m one of the lucky ones to have an NHS dentist, I don’t take it for granted any more.
Yes thank god. Me, my OH & sons are all registered NHS with the same dentist. Very lucky as they don't take NHS patients any longer.
My husband does. Luckily he just got in when he had a problem. I used to go there. I have very problematic teeth problems, always have. My elderly parents are lucky they can afford a decent private one but yes they are costly. I have decided to go private as I have bad problems and I don’t mind paying for something so important. In my case though I have to save up for it. I try to go as little as possible but recently I am having to go a lot as just had abscess to be dealt with.
Our. Children have a NHS dentist but me and my partner have to pay private with the same dentist
I have a Private dentist after my practice moved from NHS to private and we were given the ultimatum pay or leave. Unfortunately I have not been able to find another NHS dentist locally so have to pay now. I think dentist , GPs ,Opticians and other health care providers should be run and managed by the NHS and not as Private businesses.
yeah right and cant find one. I need one as chemotherapy plays havoc with most of my body !
I do and I know how lucky I am! They are lovely too, I know its a struggle for a lot of people so hopefully the new government can do something about it!
Nope, and I've had to fork out close to a thousand pounds these last couple of months for treatment.
I am fortunate that my family NHS dentist since before I was born is still around and going strong.
No, there aren't any around here that will take on new patients and you even struggle to get a private one!
I have no idea, haven’t been since during COVID so probably taken me off the books by now. They are pretty good though
I have but my OH hasn't. We both had the same dentist but he was removed as he hadn't been for over 2 years (Covid). When we queried it we got told he'd missed the cut off date by 3 weeks!! not sure how they worked this out as we both used to go at the same time.
In Peterborough there is no NHS dentist, and it’s not easy to find private dentist. So when need to see dentist I go abroad cause is more cheaper and reliable service. When it comes to NHS I’m not happy about this, the government should give right to people to opt out from NHS.
