Should the NHS Fund More for MH?

There needs to be more access to mental health professionals in general. Mental health issues can happen at anytime. Yes it is a good idea but unless they have more mental health professionals then it isn't feasible.

There should be more training for mental health professionals in order to get people back on the straight and narrow

More training and also how to be an empath and listen to people

Mh MOTs could mean people are identified sooner but the lists are long. I've been on a list and my NHS app shows referrals dated April 2022, and I'm still waiting and they wonder why people end up in crisis

There need to employ mental health professionals on the NHS. I know that there is waiting lists for people who need help with their mental health. I know because I am on a waiting list to talk with someone who understands about people's mental health. I suffered mental abuse from my estranged husband. He did similar things to me like Tom is doing to Belle on Emmerdale.

Nice pledge, but there are simply not enough MH practitioners in the UK for it to ever happen.

I think it would be a great way of massaging unemployment statistics and whoever gets in should start using the national insurance we have all paid in to address the mental health crisis instead as it is not going away.

I know I'm like a stuck record but there is no money for more mental health care without more borrowing etc. Most services will be reduced over the coming years such is the economic reality of this country with huge debts to pay back. The Liberal Democrats are one of the least grounded and realistic of parties sadly. I used to vote for them here in Yeovil until I realised how utterly naive and unrealistic their policies are. In the height of a huge debt crisis when 99% of policies should be focused on returning us to a trading surplus and starting to pay back debt the only policy I've heard from them is another unrealistic spending commitment. They are now the fourth largest party in this election after the Reform party.

We have to start taking mental health more seriously. I hope that whoever wins the election will put more money into NHS and mental health but I fear the mental health services will loose out when almost every other public service also desperately needs fixing as well. The lib dems can promise the world as they know they wont be in any position where they will have to actually delivery anything.

As Mental Health is more widely accepted and the stigmatism is fortunately ending, more people are coming out in the open and seeking help, unfortunately, as we know the Tories have cut funding for all sections of public service and as a result caused more misery and lengthy waiting lists, only adequate funding which will be able to hire more counsellors and psychiatrists which will help those of us who suffer with Mental Health Illnesses.

It's a really good idea. But people with mental health problems can't get the help and care there desperately need. So how is it going work?
