How Often Do You Shower?

In the News

I saw in the news the other day that celebrities such as Jonathan Ross, his wife and Michaela Strachan and other celebs don’t shower regularly. So much so Michaela didn’t wash her hands properly and ended up with a worm under her skin. I couldn’t go longer than two days. How about you?

Leannexxx Used to bath, but that takes up a lot more water and time.

There's an adapter that turns faucets into shower head: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/395192676158

That's a cheap example, here's a better one: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/156139883179

At least once every day, but more often in hot weather. When I'm in Italy I just jump in the shower whenever I'm too hot or feel the need. I find the tepid water is a great way of cooling down and maintaining a pleasant ambiance.

EmmaWright762 This is very true of me. I tend to shower more on holiday due to fact I go swimming a lot. Never used it to cool down just wash.

jms19 If it's in the summer I tend to shower 3-4+ with cold water, but it's not the light hotness Britain is used to (20~25° C) rather abroad (30~35° C).

jms19 I wouldn’t have time in my day to shower that many times and I would be worried about the amount of water being used.

jms19 Twice a day (mornings and evenings/bedtime). If I have a doctor appointment (or similar) I shower in the afternoons and change everything.

Don't have a shower at home we have a bath. I'll get a bath every other day and I'm at the gym 2-4 times out of the week so will have a shower there instead of having a bath at home.

ChelsieLou90 Thats a great idea if you can do that. Saves on your water usage at home. But I’m not a fan of baths.

I usually shower once a day, mostly when I get undressed ready for bed.

65 years how is that even realistically possible. 😯 I mean, the video explains it, but it's still bizarre.

He died at the age of 94. Pretty long lifespan he had.

PhilipMarc I watched this video, thanks for sharing. Really odd how he died after having a bath, doesn’t really say why.

Both myself and Mr T shower or bath on a daily basis. I can't imagine what it would be like working next to someone who didn't wash regularly! Image

tumblespotsI remember when we were kids how we used to used share a bath. My mum went first, then my brother, then me. I am surprised I was ever clean!

eyeballkerry I am pretty sure that when I was quite small (maybe 5 or 6) I had a bath with my mum! Mr T was in The Navy so he was taught to wash daily as they are in close proximity to one another and nobody wants to smell anyone who hasn't washed!

Depends on how stinky you are, I suppose which would depend on how much you shower/bath.

Back in the 70s, it was a bath once a week unless we came in full of mud after playing outside

TheChimp Exactly, once a week back then. Like I said previously we also shared the bath water. I must have been a very smelly child!
