Olio App
Ask a Question
Does anyone use this app and think it is good?
If just found out about the reduced food app and would like to give it a try,
im just wondering if it will be worth me walking to the shops to collect the items (with me having bad knees) or if id be wasting my time
I use it a lot and it is very good. I have dinner free many times. You don't need to go to the shops unless you are rescue it. Instead you can go to people's houses to collect what they offer.
I've not really found anything on there. There is another one called Too Good To Go where you can get discounted food
I’ve used it a few times but you’ll have to commit to looking regularly as items go fast. It’s free food by the way, not reduced. There are non-food items too.
it's no good for us but that's down to our location ....great to hear folk are finding it works tho
It is rubbish for me too! I'm in a highly populated area but it is barely used here. I don't think it has really taken off in Scotland.
BORDERJOE it could be that, I just know where we are that it is t well used. But then again all our local supermarkets give food to the food banks, nursing homes women's aid and the homeless charities, so that's probably why its not well used by the shops in our area. It isn't used by people giving away free stuff either.
Brill app, I pick up regular supplies from Pret a Manger for free, all good quality stuff as well
There's never anything available on our too goo to go app they sell put striaght away so assuming it must be good. I've used Olio once I live near lots of farms so got sacks of apples to make cider
I tried it ages ago. Seems like a good idea. But at that time I didn’t find it that good. However it may if changed now.
I may download it again see if it’s made any improvements
