I agree - stay anonymous. Its amazing how people can find out exactly how to contact these winners - people would be coming at you from all directions. You would probably find that family that you haven’t seen for years would suddenly get back in touch too.

And yes - of course I’m jealous lol

I would stay anonymous. I wouldn't be going public. I would be cautious about telling my family in case they accidentally let it slip. I certainly wouldn't tell them that I had won as much as I had.

I’d stay anonymous as like everyone above has said you’d have every Tom, **** and Harry coming out of the woodwork. I’d help my nearest and dearest the ones that’s been there through thick and thin. Plus I’d help people who I know that are struggling with cash, gift vouchers and household items. Then I’d open a drop in centre that anyone can access with the option of cafe, washing facilities, food and clothes bank. Which wouldn’t be means tested if you need help you’d be welcomed and no question asked.

IonaJones I agree with you on remaining anonymous. You're such a thoughtful person to know exactly what you would do with so much money if you ever won it.

I think I’d keep it to myself and a few select other people. I’d happily help people out but wouldn’t want it to be expected

I would stay anon. I would only need enough to keep me in a luxury old folks home and would give the rest away. Even 15 years at £2k per week fees would be less than £2million.

Definitely anonymous. I would work for a few months at least after I won then quit work saying got a job abroad so that it does not look like I've won anything. Then go and travel and tick off the bucket list.

I wouldn't want everyone knowing as would be anxious about strangers contacting me so would stay anonymous. If it was a big win I would like to choose who I donate to. 👍

I'd be worried about the begging letters; however my wife says that we should keep sending them anyway.

If you don't remain anonymous do you get some sort of payment for helping to promote winners for that lottery. I can't see the point of not remaining anonymous unless you were paid for it.

Personally I think begging letters would be the least of your problems. You might have people planning on robbing you or maybe colliding with your car and blaming you and suing you for whiplash etc. No doubt many people will start thinking about how to get some of your money. I mean how many footballers have had their homes burgled.

Stay anonymous, no question. Some people think if you have money they have an entitlement to have some, and they are the ones who wouldn't do anything for you. I would give some to my children, my parents and my brother. Although I would have to lie to my brother about how much I got, or his wife would ask for more. Sad but true!
