Are there any products which you only like the branded version over supermarket own? For me it's diet coke! My husband only likes hellmans mayonnaise Iv tried putting others in the same jar and he always knows!!

I will never buy cheap tea or coffee. I use Alta Rica coffee and have decided I like Sainsbury's red label tea even though it is a supermarket own brand.

I won't go value range (tried and it's awful!) I really like Sainsbury red label tea or Yorkshire biscuit brew when it's on offer

There might be differences in some things but often people shopping at Aldi don't realise that some of Aldi's own items (apart from the label and the price) are exactly the same as the well known brands. They're not allowed to say though. SEE #6 for more details https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/news/article-4163462/Behind-scenes-Aldi-17-surprising-secrets.html

True, I prefer some of aldi own brand products. At Christmas we bought the chocolaty selection biscuits and my boss bought m+s ones in, we compared and they are exactly the same product but 2 in aldi and 8 in m+s (often on offer for 4)!!

I buy some supermarket own brands, recently tomato ketchup. Yes I can taste the difference but at half the price I can live with that. However I still buy Branston pickle, uncle Bens sweet n sour sauce and Heinz tomato soup.

I always opt for branded toilet roll & fairy liquid and that’s pretty much it! My tastebuds have gotten used to all the own brand food haha, plus I think a lot of it is the same & often made in the same factory.

Good shout with the fairy, I won't go value on toilet roll it's a false economy!

MumOfThree I decided to be more eco friendly by buying Waitrose recycled toilet paper hoping to save the planet and all that. It was the worse toilet paper I ever used, so now i only buy Cushelle or Andrex.

Gravy granules and lasagne sheets. They have to be branded or the posh version of the supermarket own as my husband can tell the difference. We don't do brands in our house except for dog treats!

Definitely the posh ones for gravy, I prefer wholemeal lasagna sheets but happy with supermarket own.

I am loyal to Heinz baked beans , fairy liquid and comfort fabric conditioner after trying the alternatives, some products are not worth the swap

Always branded crisps, Walkers, Mccoys or the like never own brand, equally always branded soft drinks also and always Branston Beans. On the other hand only Sainsburys filter coffee and nothing but Tesco own Apple sauce, all down to individual taste and what you get used to I suppose

Yes, there are...lots of things are branded and I tried cheaper products, but they were not as good.

Andrex toilet tissues are great and could not find anything like them. Also most of the branded toiletries are better. I like hellmans mayo too but is so expensive, last time I ordered Morrisons light mayo, but got the normal instead and it is taste good. Less than half price. So I will change to this one now, but there are many things I can not give up.
