Would You Pay £4,000 for an Ironing Board ?
Ask a Question
I don't know about you but i hate ironing , in fact i rarely use an ironing board
But Harrods have decided to sell one , for the bargain price of £4,000 !!!
Who in their right mind would even consider buying one at this price, when you could buy yourself a nearly new car for that price
Besides ,those who could afford one at this price would not be doing their own ironing , they would have a housemaid doing this
And they are supposed to last a lifetime , so why are they selling replacement covers for £199 ???
I tried ironing once about 40 years ago just to prove to myself that I could.I have never done it since.I am allergic to ironing boards I think
If your a Saudi Royal and earn £50k every hour then its fine becuase your servants will need an ironing board to iron all those diamond encrusted clothes... an what a hard life
That’s ridiculous what a waste of money, you’d expect it to do the ironing for you at that price
I wouldn't spend s fiver on jne. To be fair I don't own an ironing board. I don't iron clothes
No way! £12 is very sufficient. I do still iron but I do it in one go at end of week or as needed. That’s just ridiculous, how many Arabs are over here? That must be their market. Do they iron their tea-towels headdresses?
Thee simple answer is "NO", who on earth in their rights minds would pay this stupid price!
Now way I definitely would not pay that for a ironing board it’s a it’s a ridiculous price
People who have more money than sense sometimes, it is disgusting when others are starving
I wouldn't pay £4,000 for an ironing board. I suppose people who have more money than sense would buy one at that price. You could get a decent ironing board for about £15 which will do the ironing just as good.
Never
If I had 4 thousand I would spend that much on my business class aeroplane seat to the USA
Are you sure it wasn't £40.00 with a decimal point missing? What was it made from? If I had money to burn, I'd spend it on something useful like helping a charity!
For that amount of money you could send your ironing out to one of those businesses who iron for a living and it would be years before you'd spent £4k.
No indeed I wouldn,t pay £4000 my ironing board has lasted me 59 years a few new covers and still going strong
My first thought was that people who can afford one of these clearly have a) more money than sense and b) wouldn't do their own ironing!
Lasts a lifetime? When does that ever happen? That's why they are promoting replacement covers. Trade descriptions...
But surely ironing can be fun if you do it the right way!?
tumblespots I think she is trying to save electric there T and doesnt want to use the hairdryer
There's always ridiculously expensive stuff at Harrods across many areas. I don't shop there like 99.99% of the population and its meaningless to me what they sell. Even if I was a billionaire I wouldn't waste my money in Harrods just don't see the point. Yes its a beautiful store and nice to look around almost like a tourist attraction but don't see the point of buying anything there and if I did it would be a low price item with the Harrods branding just for the novelty. I mean £4k you could have someone come in on £15 an hour to do 2 hours of ironing every week for the next 3 years pretty much for that much money.
BonzoBanana Even the carrier bags are expensive there, over £5 each , but people do buy them to show they have shopped there
You probably see a few of their bags being used in sainsburys for example
telmel £5 seems a lot to say the least although I have no idea of the quality of them. My mother has a Harrods jar that originally came with tea in which she still uses. It's a beautifully made jar and think it was £13 many years ago. She still keeps tea in it but not bought from Harrods, for the occasions she makes tea in a tea pot.
