Are You Willing to Pay Extra for Ad-Free Amazon Prime?

I don’t have it but if I did i would possibly be cancelling depending on if amazon prime video was a big reason for me getting the service

I cancelled my Amazon last year when they put their prices up. I still buy from Amazon when the Item/Items are over £25 for free delivery. I hardly watched Prime TV anyways. Waste of money. There are lots of TV channels to choose from on your smart TV plus this Is the Internet where you can stream your Movies or TV shows from. Even the latest so why waste your money. I dont.

May as well watch Ordinary television

I've never subscribed to amazon prime but have done lots of trials. Amazon is often more expensive for items compared to ebay and other retailers so seems pointless subscribing. You would then not only add the prime cost but the extra cost of buying from Amazon. The prime video selection is awful and I just don't see the point of it at all. I have used the Amazon freevee service which offers free movies etc with adverts but some of them are on youtube where you can use an adblocker anyway to avoid adverts.

£12 a month is a lot of money that is £144 a year or £720 over 5 years for the advert free service for something I would have very low use of.

The average person in the UK has about £4k of unsecured debt and that maybe across all ages so actual debt for those at a working age could be a lot more than that.

Payments like prime can easily lead people to debt. You should only subscribe to such services if you make heavy use of them. Everyone is always trying to get you to subscribe to pointless insurance, warranties and premium services which you should mostly avoid.

I don’t even have Amazon Prime, as I think it would just encourage me to buy more rubbish. I’ve noticed a lot of companies are sneakily introducing charges here and there, cutting down on the benefits you receive for what you already pay, and generally just tightening their belts. The consumer suffers of course. Can’t be cutting into their profit margins can we?

No. I don't like Prime Video as it rarely has anything I'd want to watch and I only subscribe to Prime when I have a free trial (to claim free games and fast delivery).

Streaming has become expensive and it's not worth it.

I look at it this way , hands up anyone who thinks the BBC should get rid of the tv license and replace it with advertising on the channels ?

That's how it really doesn't register with me if Disney or Amazon are going to charge more if you don't want to see adverts .

I've just cancelled it as I've just gone on it to watch my show now you have to pay £4.99 for hayu and I was on episode 15 well they can do one I'm not paying for Amazon prime anymore

I agree, they’ve just put price of Amazon Prime up to £8.99 from £7.99 and now going to ask for another £2.99 to go ad free is a bit much. I certainly won’t be paying it

No, they are annoying but I can live with them

I had Amazon Prime a couple of years ago and found I never watched the film side of it. I was doing up the house at the time so saved on delivery charges on purchased items but once that was over I cancelled (before the price hike). I’m pretty immune to internet advertising anyway so, adverts wouldn’t bother me unless they were so frequent they got in the way.
