Would You Pay to See the GP?
Ask a Question
Would you pay to see the GP?
Wait times are around 22 days on average ow and that's just the first step if if you need more treatment from a consultant. SO would you be happy to pay to get a quicker appointment?
Yes, I would rather pay to be seen quickly. Also, for a consultant if required. The NHS has gone to the dogs. The Princess of Wales of paid up and was seen promptly.
No I personally wouldn't. I haven't got the money, plus it was just noted in our local newspaper, that locums in NI earn £1000 per day.
I'd pay to see a GP if I was really bad.
I can normally get an appointment on the day of an emergency or wait 4 weeks for a general thing.
The NHS is knackered including the GPs and everyone needs to get to grips with that.
And then people don't want to pay more tax towards the NHS and then complain about it.
Probably not, fortunately my GP wait time is not 22 days, maybe 7 - 10 days quicker for urgent cases .
There is a company that works in a local private hospital "The Independent General Practice" near me that offers GP appointment at a cost of £129 and that's just for one initial appointment
