How Many Pillows Do You Sleep With?
Ask a Question
I usually have 2, one normal one and one smaller memory foam one to prop up the neck, which I sometimes take with me on my travels
And then there’s the one I have at the foot of the bed as it’s been said it’s good to keep the legs raised when sleeping...
I've used 2 since I can remember and the wife has 3.
The best thing I ever did to help me sleep was buying a weighted blanket. They are soooooooo comfy.
I only sleep with one pillow, always have done. Have had problems getting off to sleep/staying asleep for a few years now and just recently started to hear about these weighted blankets, are they really that good and can you say why? As may look into them a bit further. Thanks.
TiaTia It's the best thing that I've ever bought when it comes to sleeping.
Mine is full of tiny glass beads, not that you could tell, and weighs around 8kg.
It must be the weight of it that makes you feel really comfy.
But if you're used to a very light duvet/sheet, it might not be for you.
An interesting question. I only use one pillow to sleep with otherwise I wake with a bad neck and that permeates down through my spine. I have enough problems with my back/spine as it is so I do have to be very very careful. This is coupled with the fact that due to the coronavirus/covid19 I am unable to visit my chiropractor as she wasn't allowed to stay open - not deemed important enough?! Even when she is finally allowed to re-open she can't manipulate my back and maintain social distancing so who knows how that will pan out!
What surprises me is the number of people who seem to sleep with so many pillows that their chins are on their chest! It makes my neck ache just thinking about them....
I haven't ever put a pillow under my feet but occasionally I have put a pillow under my knees to relieve the pressure on my spine.
Sorry to hear that. Yes it’ll be bad for a while - I know people who regularly visit the osteopathic clinics and they will also be no go areas. I used to use 2 normal pillows but as you‘ve said, it caused more problems, hence why I’ve now gone for the memory foam one
I sleep with 2 but my head is only on 1, I use the 2nd one to cuddle. I also have to sleep on my stomach or side, with my legs spaced out. I cannot sleep on my back. I drive my OH mad .
Hi hspexy I sleep with five. I can not sleep laying down. And like you I have two pillows at the foot of the bed. I am disabled and fine it very hard to sleep and this the best for me at the Monet. I all so have a long pillow can't think of the name for it but that one go's down my back. Because I've got a very bad back and this helps me.
Wow five is a lot - you must have a big bed? I know what you mean, I think they’ve got similar pillows for pregnant women as well, as it supports them better. It’s important to be comfortable when you sleep
I normally sleep on my girlfriends boobs as they are much more comfortable than any pillow.
I use 2. I sleep on my side so it's more comfortable to have my head in a position that keeps my spine more or less straight.
I have two pillows. One feather one and one a more synthetic material. I also use to have a V pillow which I would use instead when suffering from neck issues.
I sleep with 1 relatively flat pillow but would happily sleep without too. I love to sleep on the front though and perhaps that’s the reason why
